Call for Resignation or Expulsion of RI Rep. Price

Rep. Justin Price (R-Richmond) must resign from the RI House of Representatives or be expelled from the General Assembly under Art. VI Section 7 of the RI Constitution which states: "Each house may determine its rules of proceeding, punish contempts, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member... . "

Why is this important?

Rep. Price has admitted that on January 6, 2021, he attended the pro-Trump riot at the Capitol. Incredibly, he subsequently tweeted, "Yes i marched to the capitol with 1 million peaceful patriots. Unfortunately ANTIFA /BLM infiltrated our peaceful movement and they got caught in the act.." His false, seditious and racist statements clearly show inexcusable contempt for the rule of law and disorderly behavior that must be punished to protect the integrity of our democracy. If Rep. Price's actions and words are not punished, the Jan. 6 capitol riots and violence will be encouraged and could happen again.
