Censure Donald Trump
I saw this in the Washington Post today.
The house can do this easily, they have the votes; it is meaningful.
The impeachment trial, devoid of witnesses, went through the motions of implementing justice. But our rogue president and his supplicating supporters should not escape the justice of history. Censure is a meaningful moral statement that would be an historical marker of the wrongdoing of this president and the complicity of Senate Republicans. Censure has been rarely used successfully against a president, making it all the more meaningful in this case. The House has the votes to do it; the Senate will not be involved. Now is the time to censure President Trump.

Why is this important?
Censure is a moral statement on immoral behavior. While this president and his supporters stonewalled the Impeachment trial and made it a farce, this is an historical footnote on that behavior that will follow him to his grave and into history. He should not get off with an acquittal; this will say why and how he did it in the most shameful way conceivable and condemn him for it.
