In light of current knowledge and events regarding the spread of COVID-19, Publix's response has been imprudent. All stores should immediately switch to Online Ordering and curbside pickup only.
Why is this important?
This company has enough resources to implement a system of minimal interaction at all stores, keeping its customers and employees safe. With the number of employees at each store, keeping up with the demand for a curbside pickup will be manageable via the Instacart system. If not, taking orders by phone and then brought out to the customer should be implemented. This keeps employees working, and keeps food in the homes of the communities we serve.
