In January 13, 2021, The House of Representatives, in a bi-partisan vote, impeached Donald Trump for an historic second time during his first and only term of office for inciting insurrection. As this is a major offense and violation of the US Constitution, this petition calls on the Senate, and Mitch McConnell to initiate the impeachment trial immediately, prior to President Trump leaving office.
Why is this important?
Trump's crimes against the United States, inciting sedition, insurrection and violence against federal elected officials is so anathema to our Republic that the only response is full repudiation by conviction of impeachment as well as precluding Trump from ever running for President again.
