To: Doordash

Doordash charges customers extra for a gas bonus they no longer pay to drivers.

In response to rising gas prices, doordash was nice enough to institute a gas bonus for drivers. Drivers could earn up to $15 extra per week depending on how many miles they drove for the company. To offset the extra they would be paying drivers, doordash decided to charge customers extra fees to cover their costs. On April 30th doordash stop paying drivers the gas bonus. They still charge the consumer extra for the gas bonus that they no longer pay to drivers. We demand that doordash either stops charging consumers extra for gas or reinstitutes the bonus for drivers until gas prices come down. As of May, gas is now at an all-time high.

Why is this important?

While it might not seem like much, $15 extra a week goes a long way to helping pay for the rising costs to run your own delivery business. Consumers should not stand for being fleeced for a cause that a company no longer supports.
