Tell FIFA and Olympics: It's Not Safe for the U.S. to Host!

The United States is set to host two of the biggest sporting events in the world—the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the Summer Olympics in 2028—welcoming millions of visitors from around the world.

But as the Trump administration becomes more and more hostile to immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community, travelers and athletes alike will be at the whims of a dangerous and lawless government.

Sign the petition telling FIFA and Olympics leadership to reconsider the U.S. as a host country in light of Trump's increasingly restrictive travel policies and escalating anti-immigrant attacks that have impacted tourists, travelers, lawful residents, and U.S. citizens.

Why is this important?

Experts are already concerned about the treatment visitors to the World Cup and Olympics would face in the U.S.—especially for people traveling from countries that the Trump administration has treated with open contempt.

This isn’t a theoretical threat. Already, countries including Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, and Canada have issued travel advisories about the possibility of being detained by the Department of Homeland Security in the U. S. and have warned transgender people about the State Department’s change in policy regarding gender markers on passports.

It's not clear that the millions of people who will visit the United States over the next three years will be kept safe from the Trump administration’s draconian policies. Add your name telling the leadership of FIFA and the Olympics to put the safety of visitors and athletes first.
