Dismiss charges against Sgt. Jason Spencer

We the undersigned urgently request the dismissal of all charges against Sgt. Jason Spencer. On June 28th, 2023, Sgt.Spencer bravely intervened to save Representative Khan from a brutal assault, displaying exemplary courage and quick thinking. Dismissing the charges against Sergeant Spencer is crucial to maintaining public trust in our legal system.

We believe his actions were in accordance with 53a-22(g) which states that a person is justified in using reasonable physical force upon another person when and to the extent they believe to be necessary to effect an arrest or to prevent the escape from custody of an arrested person whom they beieve to have committed an offense.

We request prompt attention to this matter and immediate dismissal of all charges.
