Hold FBI Leadership Accountable: Fire Kash Patel

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, call for the immediate removal of Kash Patel as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The FBI is charged with protecting our nation from threats foreign and domestic, upholding the Constitution, and ensuring equal justice under law. This mission requires competence, independence, and integrity from its leadership. Patel has shown repeated failures in these areas, undermining both public trust and the effectiveness of the Bureau.
Recent Examples of Mismanagement:
- Premature Announcements in Sensitive Cases: In the investigation of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Patel publicly declared a suspect was in custody when this was untrue. The actual suspect was arrested days later, exposing reckless judgment that misled the public and jeopardized the case.
- Politically Motivated Purges: Multiple former FBI officials have filed lawsuits alleging Patel fired them as part of a campaign of political retribution for investigating president Trump, including probes into January 6 and the Mar-a-Lago documents. Such actions threaten the Bureau’s independence and credibility.
- Due Process Violations: The FBI Agents Association has accused Patel of violating federal due process protections in terminating career agents, warning Congress that his actions set a dangerous precedent and erode the rule of law within the Bureau itself.
- Suppression of Public Accountability: Patel has refused to release the long-promised Epstein files, blocking transparency in one of the most infamous criminal scandals in recent history. This decision shields powerful figures from scrutiny and denies the American people the truth, further eroding trust in the FBI’s impartiality.
- Loyalty Over Competence: Whistleblowers and members of Congress have raised alarms that Patel orchestrated a political purge of experienced FBI officials, prioritizing loyalty to Trump over national security and investigative integrity.
- Promotion of Disinformation and Retaliation: Patel has a record of advancing conspiracy theories, compiling an “enemies list” of government officials, and attacking journalists — raising serious concerns about his respect for democratic norms and the First Amendment.
- Lack of Relevant Experience: Unlike past FBI Directors with decades of investigative and law enforcement leadership, Patel’s background is thin, rooted more in partisan political roles than in managing complex federal investigations.
- Unprofessional Public Conduct: His mishandling of the Kirk case and tone-deaf public remarks have been widely criticized as evidence of poor judgment, reckless communication, and a lack of professionalism.
The FBI cannot function as an effective, impartial guardian of justice under a director who mishandles investigations, injects politics into law enforcement, disregards legal standards, suppresses public accountability, and lacks the qualifications and temperament required for this office. Kash Patel’s leadership has damaged the credibility of one of the nation’s most important institutions.
We demand his immediate removal and the appointment of a qualified, independent leader who will restore integrity, competence, transparency, and public trust to the FBI.
Why is this important?
This campaign needs your voice. The FBI Director’s failures don’t just affect Washington. They affect every community, every family, and every American’s right to justice. When the Bureau is led by someone who prioritizes loyalty to Donald Trump over fairness and the Constitution, it politicizes law enforcement at the highest level — and that influence does not stop in D.C.
Patel’s refusal to release the Epstein files is one of the clearest examples of this failure. By withholding the truth about powerful predators and their enablers, Patel protects the elite while leaving survivors and the public in the dark. That secrecy denies families the justice they deserve and deepens the sense that the system is rigged against ordinary people.
If the FBI is seen as an arm of politics rather than an impartial protector of the people, local and state police forces may follow its lead. Instead of communities being kept safe, law enforcement can become divided, biased, and swayed by political pressures. That shift will not just undermine justice in the abstract. It will touch families in their daily lives, threatening their security, their rights, and their trust in those sworn to protect them.
By signing this petition, you stand with thousands of others demanding Patel’s removal and the restoration of trust in one of our nation’s most critical institutions. Together, we can insist on leadership that serves the people, exposes the truth, and shields families from the abuse of power.
