Hold Trump & Vance Accountable for their Criminal Claims about Haitian Residents in Springfield

 On September 24, the Haitian Bridge Alliance filed a criminal complaint against Donald J. Trump and JD Vance for inducing panic, making false alarms, and disrupting public services. As a result of the false and dangerous claims made by Trump and Vance, Springfield has experienced:

  • At least 33 bomb threats;
  • Evacuation and closures of schools, colleges, and public buildings;
  • Deployment of state troopers to Springfield;
  • A strain on emergency and non-emergency call centers, and police and other emergency services;
  • Threats to individuals;
  • Threats to Mayor Rob Rue and his family;
  • Threats to a local business owner and business employing Haitian immigrants;
  • Hospital lockdowns.

Sign here to urge the County Prosecutor to hold Trump and Vance accountable for the crimes they have committed against the residents of Springfield, Ohio.

Why is this important?

There is ample evidence that Trump and Vance made false claims about Springfield’s Haitian community which sparked widespread threats of violence and endangered the city’s residents. Prosecutor Driscoll has a responsibility to pursue charges against them as he would if any other person were to inflict open, notorious, and serious crimes on the people and government in Springfield.
