Immediate Gaza Ceasefire Resolution for Missouri City, TX for residents of Greater Houston Area

"Mourn the dead, and fight like hell for the living"
--Mary Harris "Mother" Jones (1830? — 1930)

Why is this important?

We have witnessed unfathomable death and destruction in the Gaza Strip and Israel. Over 1300 Israeli and over 30,000 Palestinians casualties, the latter toll including 13,000 children, 9,000 women, over 100 journalists, and 400 healthcare workers, have been killed. In Gaza, water, food, fuel, medical supplies, and even body bags, have run out due to the siege. Children spared from the bombs are now dying of severe dehydration and starvation. Neighborhoods have been destroyed and turned into complete rubble. UN shelters, Red Cross and Red Crescent facilities, schools, churches, mosques, ambulances, and hospitals are being destroyed. The health system has collapsed and disease runs rampant with unsanitary drinking water. Children lay trapped in the rubble waiting to die. Palestinians in search of safety have nowhere to go. Many of those who relocated from northern Gaza to the south after the relocation order by the Israeli army are under the threat of a devastating ground invasion. The international community agrees that this would be an unimaginable humanitarian catastrophe. The world cannot afford to sit back. Nothing will be gained by further loss of life. The United Nations has voted for a ceasefire; however the United States abstained and continues to provide military and financial support for this war.

Send a message to our city council. By signing the petition below our local leaders will know that our city, like so many across our nation, is calling for a ceasefire.
