Military: Don't follow unconstitutional orders!

Dear Service Member,
Thank you for your dedication and service to our country. Your commitment to defending the Constitution and protecting our freedoms is deeply appreciated.
As a member of the military, you have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution, which includes following lawful orders and refusing those that violate constitutional rights, such as firing on peaceful protesters or invading countries that pose no security threat. History has shown that personal responsibility matters, even within the chain of command. The Nuremberg Trials affirmed that "just following orders" is not a valid defense for unethical actions.
I encourage you to stay true to your oath and the values that guide our armed forces.
Why is this important?
People should join this campaign because upholding the Constitution and ethical military conduct affects us all. Military personnel swear an oath to defend our rights and freedoms, and ensuring they are not forced to follow unconstitutional or unethical orders is essential for democracy, justice, and national integrity. History has shown the dangers of blind obedience, and we must stand together to protect both service members and civilians from unlawful actions. By signing this petition, individuals affirm their commitment to accountability, moral leadership, and the core values that make our nation strong.
