I am writing to formally address a series of grave concerns regarding the treatment of my child. My child has been subjected to racial profiling, stereotyping, and consistent violations of their legally mandated IEP. Despite bringing these issues to the administration, there has been a persistent pattern of staff "covering" for one another, prioritizing internal loyalty over student safety and legal compliance.
Furthermore, we have observed "clique-like" behavior among staff members who target specific students while ignoring systemic bullying by others. The administration has demonstrated an unwillingness to rectify these issues, creating an environment of intimidation that depletes a student's ability to self-advocate. We are demanding immediate oversight and accountability for these actions, as the current lack of responsibility to parents and students is unacceptable.
For too long, the administration has allowed a culture of intimidation to flourish. My child has been racially profiled and stereotyped, and their IEP—a legal right—has been treated as optional. When parents speak up, we are met with excuses and a "united front" of staff members who protect each other instead of protecting our children.
The behavior of these teachers is exclusionary and targeted. They have ignored rampant bullying and allowed staff to harass students, effectively demolishing our children’s self-confidence. By using intimidation tactics, they are silencing the very students they are meant to empower. We will no longer accept a system where staff have no accountability and parents’ concerns about student safety are ignored.
