Open Tattoo Salons in Miami

As south Florida starts to reopen, one industry being left in the dark, yet the one with the most effective sanitary procedures, is tattoo establishments. Governor De Santis and the Mayor of Dade county Giménez are allowing cosmetology salons and services to open, such as hair, skin and nails, these establishments do not have mandatory health department inspections like tattoo establishments do yearly. They are also not required to take the bloodborne pathogens course and have guidelines in place to prevent cross contamination, yet they are the first to open.
In addition to cosmetology salons being able to open, gyms have also been given the ok, and retail establishments, both places where you cannot realistically apply social distancing.

Why is this important?

It is important to open tattoo establishments because we practice sanitation protocols between every single client every day, even before Covid-19. We have been patiently waiting since the middle of March for news and some have not been able to wait and have had to open to be able to provide for their household. Don’t put us in a position where we have to risk our license in order to be able to keep our businesses afloat.
