Pass $1200 stimulus with retroactive benefits now
It is time that the United States Congress act now to put direct payments of $1200.00 and $500.00 for their children into the pockets of struggling Americans now. The American people can no longer afford for the road blocks our elected officials continue to put in place of much needed aid. The American people cannot afford to lose the protections given to them under March's CARES Act because if they lapse we will have the largest eviction crisis on our hands and losing their homes and becoming homeless is the last thing struggling Americans need.
Why is this important?
It is time that Congress act to help struggling Americans by putting money into their pockets so that they can weather the storm of this pandemic. It is not enough that the COVID relief bill before Congress only offers a one time direct payment of $600.00. This is an insult to many struggling Americans who are going hungry and can't pay the bills. As many politicians continue to argue over the debt and the deficit had no issue with passing $700 billion for defense. They passed a $2 trillion dollar tax bill that 83% of the benefits went to the rich and corporations. It is time for these politicians to act.
