Playgrounds NOT "Prison Camps" for Immigrant Children
Donald Trump wants to use military bases as “tent cities” to house thousands of immigrant children that have been separated from their parents seeking asylum. This is inhumane and should not be tolerated. Children should not be held in prison camps! Tell Alex Azar, the Director of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), that we won’t stand for holding children in “tent cities”.
Why is this important?
The number of children being separated from their parents at the border as a result of Trump’s anti-immigration policies has grown so large that the Trump Administration wants to create “tent cities” along the Texas border to hold them.
These are children who came to the U.S. border with their parents seeking protection from violent conditions back home. Not only has the Trump Administration separated them from their parents, the Administration wants to start holding them in places that have been referred to as “prison camps” and “concentration camps”.
This is inhumane and should not be tolerated. Children belong on playgrounds with family members who love them. Both parents and children who seek asylum in the U.S. deserve to be safe and free.
Sign the petition and tell Alex Azar, the Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, that no child should be held in a prison camp.
