Amend Presidential Eligibility to Match "Good Moral Character" Immigration Vetting!

Please help pass A BILL TO AMEND PRESIDENTIAL ELIGIBILITY
(Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution)

The current constitutional standards for presidential eligibility were written for a very different era and no longer meet the expectations Americans rightly hold for those seeking the highest office in the nation. To protect the integrity of our democracy, we must modernize these requirements so they reflect the same baseline standards already applied to millions of immigrants pursuing lawful status or citizenship.

This amendment calls for aligning presidential eligibility with the vetting principles outlined in the U.S. Immigration Policy Manual, specifically the chapter on Conduct and Good Moral Character (CGMC). If these standards are considered essential for individuals seeking to join our nation, they should be the minimum required for those aspiring to lead it.

Why is this important?

The credibility, cohesion, and operational readiness of the U.S. Military and Department of Defense (war) are directly undermined when the Commander in Chief exhibits conduct that violates the very standards expected of every service member. Boasting about sexual assault or making derogatory remarks about military integration not only contradicts the principles of Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) training, but also violates the Military Code of Conduct and our Warrior Ethos—core tenets that define discipline, respect, and honor in uniform.

Such behavior would result in disciplinary action or removal for any officer or enlisted member. Yet, when exhibited by a President, it sends a dangerous message: that the highest office in the land is exempt from the moral and ethical standards that govern our armed forces. This hypocrisy erodes trust, damages morale, and weakens our standing both domestically and abroad.

The President’s primary duty is to uphold the law and unify the nation. Citizens deserve full assurance that any candidate for this role has a proven record of ethical conduct and impartial character—standards already required of immigrants, public servants, and military personnel. This legislation ensures that all Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates undergo Non-Partisan Conduct and Good Moral Character (CGMC) Vetting prior to nomination, reinforcing leadership integrity and national security.

I continue to feel the outrage resulting from the continued complacency from our Republican enablers, civilian and military (those remaining) who enable a clearly incompetent and unqualified Commander In Chief. Please help end this hypocrisy and let's unite our efforts to prevent such a harmful candidate from ever gaining another political party nomination in the future. We just have to agree to a standard of evaluation. Luckily, the US already has a Policy Manual published which, if followed for Presidential Candidates, would have disqualified Donald John Trump.
