Reinstatement of FCC Fairness Doctrine

I would like the FCC to reinstate and enforce the Fairness Doctrine.

Why is this important?

This doctrine, introduced originally in 1949, required holders of broadcast licenses to give airtime to discussing controversial matters of public interest and to give airtime to contrasting view points. According to the FCC, this kept broadcasters honest, equitable, and balanced.
