Relocate the Griswold Street apartment complex entrance
Families, staff and students of Naubuc School and residents in the immediate vicinity are concerned about safety. 266 apartment units will be built behind the houses across from Naubuc School. It has been suggested the entrance and exit to the development could be located directly across from Naubuc school (at the side of St. Marks Church).
Traffic volume in this area is already extremely high, frequently at a standstill. 400-500 more cars going in and out of the apartment complex across from the school would make it worse, especially during peak times when school buses, parents, teachers and staff will also be on Griswold Street. Our school district does not permit students to walk or cycle to school because of safety concerns. Students have to take the bus, sometimes only a few feet home.
Please sign this petition asking Glastonbury's Town Planning and Zoning Board to help put these concerns forward.
Thank you for your support.

Why is this important?
While development addresses a shortage of housing in our town, it is important this is done with careful consideration respecting the existing neighborhood.
How it will be delivered
In-person at the Town Planning and Zoning Board hearing on January 20th
