Reopen the college to the public

I used to be a proud graduate of Clarion University. Through time and tragedy it feel like things have changed, but I feel like the foundation I have grown to love and rely on still exists. In my soberest times in life I used the rec center twice a day, all day as a community member. As I was doing that I saw many others from the community as well using the facility. Including people I know, other alumni, disabled individuals and children getting coached in whatever sport they wished. Since COVID, the college shut this down. This place of opportunity to better yourself has only been available to only students, faculty and staff. The college is allowing tours, hosting games, having theater events at this time. I do not see why the college would disband community members from the use of the facility as the community provides so much support for the school. There are kids that need coaching, memberships are paid, community members highlight of their week is to go to some of the classes that were held there and lastly some of just need it to help better ourselves. I'm an alumni but unfortunately I as well as others am ashamed to say I'm from Clarion University.

Why is this important?

Sign or don't you understand the reason. I do want you to know though I've seen hard times. Not what you think you think your grandpa died and that was hard, so I will give you my story just ask me. No I have been to rock bottom and the only thing that kept me moving forward was the college recreation center.
