Your agency’s policy, as outlined in the June 17 prosecutorial discretion memo, states that people “pursuing legitimate civil rights complaints” should not be targeted in order “to avoid deterring individuals from … pursuing actions to protect their civil rights.” But, the Southern regional ICE office in New Orleans refuses to implement the policy and continues to pursue the deportation of the Southern 32. Please, stop deporting labor and civil rights defenders! You must stand up and tell your agents to stop ignoring this important policy. We demand that ICE: 1) Release the Southern 32 from all threats of deportation 2) Implement the civil, labor, and human rights provisions of its prosecutorial discretion policy; and 3) Ensure no future civil or labor rights defender is deported because he or she stood up for the rights of all of us!

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term, then go home and back to work.

Oppose the Resolution Supporting the Keystone XL Pipeline 1. The people have spoken - repeatedly - in opposition to the pipeline. 2. Tar sands oil and its acquisition, production, transportation, and usage is one of the dirtiest fossil fuels on the planet - and incredibly damaging to Our Environment. 3. We need to move forward in support of environmentally-supportive energy choices - not the incredibly destructive fossil fuels that have caused far too much damage to Our Environment. 4. The suggestion that the pipeline would create any substantial number of jobs has been refuted, and there would be none created in Maine with the Keystone XL pipeline. 5. Maine legislators should be focused on improving Maine's economy and environment. With only a few weeks left in this session and huge state issues to resolve, why are they wasting time on matters outside their realm? Sincerely,

Guarantee a person’s right to seek compensation for injuries caused by a generic drugs. Hold generic drug manufacturers liable for injuries caused by their products. Require them to conduct clinical trials on their products and to post risks on warning labels. Currently, they copy the labels of name-brand drugs to bypass the lengthy and expensive clinical trials that went into discovering the risks associated with the drug.
