State BankingState Banking would save the people of California billions by redirecting money paid to Big Banks for fes which go to pay excessive corporate pay outside California. State Politicians look for excuses to prevent forming State Banks. Why dont they ask the State Employees to allow 5% of the retirement now in the Big Banks to go toward forming State Banks or ask the people of California if they want to back a bond measure to form State Banks. I and thousands of others in California demand that Sacramento stop this politicial bull and ask the People so we can stop paying billions yn fees that could be keept in California to help the State.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kenneth Biggs

Vote YES for Online Voter Registration in SC (H4945)Please vote YES on H.4945 - the online voter registration bill for those with a valid SC Drivers License of DMV-issued ID. Arizona was the first state to allow online voter registration. If we move quickly, SC can be among the first 10 states to join them. But please, instead of requiring the entire Social Security number on the online application (as confirmation of identity), only ask for the last 4 digits. SC is one of the last 5 states to require a full SS# on voter registration applications. Let's join the others (including Arizona) and reduce the risk of identity theft in South Carolina by moving to 'last 4.'3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cynthia Rosengren

Daytime Soap Emmy's should return to regular tv programming each year, for ALL to enjoy our soap ...We watch our soaps religiously, and support the hired actors,on air. Without the million(s)of soap fans nationwide, there would be no soaps, on air. We love our soaps left on the air, and we deserve to see them shine at the Emmy's. We, the people have always supported an incredible multitude of actors and actresses, for decades. "Not everyone has cable or net, hence PLEASE put our soaps back on regular television. This really isn't, that hard to do." The DAYTIME Emmys belong either on Channel 2, Channel 4 or Channel 5, Channel 7, 9, 11. - Not everyone worldwide can afford internet,or cable to enjoy. Thank you.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by We Love Our Soap Stars

Rep Neal:Stop the TPP/Fast TrackThe TransPacific Parthership (TPP) is misleadingly called a “trade agreement.” But only 5 of its 29 chapters actually cover trade issues such as tariffs and quotas. This would impose one-size-fits all international rules to which U.S. federal, state and local law would be forced to conform. It would also give preferential treatment to foreign banks and other firms operating here, exempting foreign companies in the US from financial, environmental and land use regulations that US businesses would still be required to obey. be empowered to order payment of U.S. tax dollars to foreign firms if U.S. laws undermined the foreign firms’ new special privileges.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by al blake

Remove Speaker of the House John Boehner From OfficeRepublicans are Violating Their Oath of Office Before taking office, each member of Congress swears a oath to “faithfully discharge the duties of the office.” The oath taken by both houses of Congress reads: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God” Republicans are violating their Oath of Office by refusing to fund the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). Why? Because among those duties is paying the government’s bills. The affordable care act was legally passed by congress and upheld by the supreme court. Therefore it legally must be funded and any member of congress who refuses to pay the governments bills is in violation of their oath of office and should be removed from office. Republicans are not just failing to perform their jobs, they’re doing the opposite of what they swore to do. Violating Oath of Office is a Federal Crime Federal law regulating oath of office by government officials is divided into four parts along with an executive order which further defines the law for purposes of enforcement. 5 U.S.C. 3331, provides the text of the actual oath of office members of Congress are required to take before assuming office. 5 U.S.C. 3333 requires members of Congress sign an affidavit that they have taken the oath of office required by 5 U.S.C. 3331 and have not or will not violate that oath of office during their tenure of office as defined by the third part of the law, 5 U.S.C. 7311 which explicitly makes it a federal criminal offense (and a violation of oath of office) for anyone employed in the United States Government (including members of Congress) to “advocate the overthrow of our constitutional form of government”. The fourth federal law, 18 U.S.C. 1918 provides penalties for violation of oath office described in 5 U.S.C. 7311 which include: (1) removal from office and; (2) confinement or a fine. Grover Norquist Tax Pledge is Oath of Office Violation A US Supreme Court Ruling Interprets “Grover Norquist Tax Pledge”, Gop Elected Officials Violating Oath Of Office, “Sincerity Clause” * http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-881607 The US Supreme Court precedent holds Grover Norquist GOP Tax Pledge in clear violation of the Oath of Office. The majority of Republicans in Congress has made the “Norquist Tax Pledge” violating their Oath of Office according to the US Supreme Court. “The Oath of Office does not require a promise of future action, It demands that elected representatives swear that he holds a certain belief at that very moment, loyalty to the Constitution ‘without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion as well as to faithfully discharge the duties of the office they have entered” 401 U.S. 154 S. Ct.(1971) LAW STUDENTS CIVIL RIGHTS RESEARCH COUNCIL, INC., ET AL. v. WADMOND ET AL. The Norquist Tax Pledge requires a promise and future action and makes mental reservation of future action and inaction in direct violation of the Oath of office itself. Here’s a list of Republicans who signed the Grover Norquist Tax Pledge http://s3.amazonaws.com/atrfiles/files/files/073013-113thCongress.pdf It would seem there are grounds to remove Speaker of the House John Boehner and other Republicans who are involved in disrupting the government from office since they are refusing to fund the Affordable Care Act. It also seems there are grounds to remove Republicans who signed the Grover Norquist Tax Pledge. Republicans allegiance should be to the United States of America and the American people, not Grover Norquist. Republicans are causing harm to the United States with no regard to the negative consequences of their actions and their conduct seems “treasonous”. Signing this petition at the very least will let Speaker of the House John Boehner and Republicans know that we do not approve of their governing and we feel they should either be removed from office or resign330 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Anthony Jagger

Impeach Justice Antonin ScaliaArticle 3, Section 1 of the Constitution refers to the Judiciary. In part it states, "The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior". Federal judges abide by the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, a set of ethical principles and guidelines adopted by the Judicial Conference of the United States. The Code of Conduct provides guidance for judges on issues of judicial integrity and independence, judicial diligence and impartiality, permissible extra-judicial activities, and the avoidance of impropriety or even its appearance. The CODE OF CONDUCT FOR UNITED STATES JUDGES: CANON 2: A JUDGE SHOULD AVOID IMPROPRIETY AND THE APPEARANCE OF IMPROPRIETY IN ALL ACTIVITIES An appearance of impropriety occurs when reasonable minds, with knowledge of all the relevant circumstances disclosed by a reasonable inquiry, would conclude that the judge’s honesty, integrity, impartiality, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge is impaired. CANON 5: A JUDGE SHOULD REFRAIN FROM POLITICAL ACTIVITY (A) General Prohibitions. A judge should not: (2)make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or (3) solicit funds for, pay an assessment to, or make a contribution to a political organization or candidate, or attend or purchase a ticket for a dinner or other event sponsored by a political organization or candidate. A violation of any Judicial Canon in the Judicial Code of Conduct would be considered a violation of the requirement for judicial "good Behavior" and qualify a judge for impeachment. By his willful actions, Justice Antonin Scalia has violated his Oath of Office and the Judicial Code of Conduct Canons 2 and 5. Justice Antonin Scalia must be impeached and removed from office.3,260 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Russell Wichman

Reduce Half Days For 2023/2024On June 5, 2023, Zeeland Public Schools released the calendar for the 2023/2024 school year. Many families and staff were surprised to see that 6 additional half days off and 2 additional full days off were added to the 2023/2024 school year to allow time for teachers to complete Professional Development. With this new calendar students will have 23 half days and only 12 regular weeks (5 full days) of school, for the entire 2023/2024 school year. Parents and families will need to make arrangements for their students every other Friday from September through May. Not only is this a large burden on families, but it's also a disservice to our students. They will lose a total of 64 hours, or more, of classroom time in one year. Over the course of an entire K-12 education, a ZPS student would receive a full year less of education than the students at the surrounding districts. There are so many other negative effects that this schedule will have including how Tech Center students will be impacted and how much further behind children who have specials/electives on Friday afternoons will be than their peers in those classes. In addition, families that need to pay for childcare or take time off of work for these days will endure an additional $1,000 - $2,500 expense per year. Working parents will have less availability to volunteer for school activities and field trips due to the need to save their time off for the additional half days.1,139 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Gallegos

Congressional Reform Act of 2012Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling: "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. 1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. 2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose. 3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Salvador Avila-Bretts
