Washington, D.C.'s drinking water comes from that forest's watersheds, so fracking there could put D.C.'s drinking water at serious risk, according to a report by Environment America. The article says, "Called 'Fracking by the Numbers,' the study looks at the impact of fracking on a national basis, concluding that more than 360,000 U.S. acres have been damaged by fracking since 2005." It's a moral imperative to protect our drinking water, so I'm asking you: Will you oppose fracking in the George Washington National Forest?
