  • Unrealistic housing income guidelines for the disabled.
    Governor Cuomo, existing New York State law provides housing for anyone who requests it, providing they meet a certain income threshold. While this law helps many NY families, it ends up putting the disabled at a disadvantage - because Social Security Disability income payments fall just below this minimum income threshold and the disabled have no additional income source to secure market-rate housing. Please change New York State law to accommodate New Yorkers with disabilities some preferential treatment.

    We implore the New Jersey Legislature to pass a regulation to DELAY until 2016 any and all action by the Passaic Valley Water Commission to drain our beautiful New Jersey reservoirs in order to replace them with gigantic concrete monstrosities. In 2016, the Environmental Protection Agency is scheduled to review the guidelines that led to this project, which is estimated to cost New Jersey citizens over $100 MILLION.

    Property Taxes in New Jersey are extremely high. While these taxes are not going down, our services are(shorter hours,less bulk pickup, recycling once per week etc,etc. It's pretty much Taxation without Representation. We're paying for less service but our taxes just keep going up. Gov. Christie keeps talking about how he's working on it. However, we the taxpayer see no relief in site.
