David C MorganThere is a Bill currently making positive progress through the Texas state legislature that would give college students the right to carry a concealed hand gun on campus and in classrooms. So, before this well protected fast moving gunman may be shot he has already fired at least 30 rounds. The shooter may be smart enough not to pick the College of Business, but instead selects the College of Nursing or Sociology. My wife and I are both educators and understand that if this bill passes violent offenders will change their MO. In K-12 have one entrance with a metal detector. During the day you must show ID at the entrance and then no one but employees gets past the front desk. There are better ways than arming students and faculty.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David C Morgan

Social Security Security BillAs it is an espoused goal of the President of the United States, the House of Representatives and the Senate to insure that the national Social Security Retirement Insurance Program be on sound financial footing for the next 40 years, we present the following solution; 1. Remove the FICA Contribution Cap, requiring contributions from the 1st dollar to the nth dollar; 2. Include all earnings of all sorts in the FICA contributions including Capital Gains, Deferred Interest, Bonuses and any and all financial remuneration in a given month. 3. Increase the FICA % to 7.5%/employee, and 7.5% employer. Self employed FICA contributions to be set at 12%. Strictly forbid the future privatization of the Social Security System by any means including the use of opt out programs.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Pellegrini

28th Amendment Congressional Reform Act of 2013I am sure others have suggested this but we need to get behind this idea and create a national referendum. Congressional Reform Act of 2012 (This is old, but still valid). 1. No Tenure / No Pension. (No mention of term limits here, but if the POTUS can only serve 2 terms, then that should be the limit across the board, local, state, and federal.) A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. 2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose. 3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work. THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS! [Well, this is a start. Taking the money out of politics is the next thing, including striking down Citizens United.]64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Daniel McEntire

Say No to 36 and Mass School ClosingsRemember three years ago when parents had to rally against CPS' threat to increase class size limits to 37 with the No to 37 campaign? History is poised to repeat itself. CPS issued a space utilization formula for all CPS schools designating 36 students per homeroom as acceptable and as part of a "well-utilized" and efficient building. CPS has stated plans to close a historic number of schools, forcing displaced students from 50+ schools to transfer to "welcoming" schools. With this policy, CPS is effectively saying that 36 kids in a classroom is acceptable and that principals must choose between having rooms for things like music, special education, tutoring, arts, etc., or reasonable class sizes. A policy that allows classrooms containing three dozen children is simply unacceptable and does not best serve the needs of Chicago students. As we did with No to 37, we need to speak out together and say No to 36! Your child's school may have avoided being on the closure list or on the receiver school list, but with a 36 student allowed per classroom limit now in place, every school in CPS could be seeing these numbers at some point. Every child could be just a face in the crowd. Raise Your Hand challenges the current CPS space utilization policy that allows for 36 kids per room. Note other large cities and their average class sizes: * Average Class Sizes Compared State of Illinois: 21(K); 23 (5th) National (public): 23.6 National (private): 19.4 New York City : 23.7 Boston: 22 K1-k2; 25 (3rd-5th); 28 (6th-8th). Los Angeles: 25 (K-3) Atlanta (Fayette): 20(K);21(1st);23(2nd/3rd); 26(4th/5th);26-28(6th-8th) Note: Boston limits increased to these levels in 2012 to close budget gaps. Atlanta set these new higher levels in 2012-13 school year.2,862 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Raise Your Hand Coalition

Make The Perpetrators Pay📣 Campaign Blurb: In March 2025, operatives under the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) unlawfully took control of the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), resulting in over $100,000 in damages to this vital peacebuilding institution. A federal judge has since ruled the takeover illegal. Taxpayers should not bear the cost of this destruction. We're calling for those responsible to pay for the damage, face consequences, and restore the integrity of this national institution. 🧾 Full Petition Text (Shortened for Platform Use): We, the undersigned, urge the U.S. Department of Justice, Congress, and relevant oversight bodies to hold accountable the individuals and entities responsible for the unlawful DOGE occupation of the U.S. Institute of Peace. This illegal action caused extensive damage, disrupted operations, and disrespected the mission of an institution founded to promote peace. We Demand: 1. A full investigation into those responsible for. 2. Restitution for all damages and costs. 3. Legal consequences, including fines or community service, as appropriate. 4. Strong protections for USIP’s independence moving forward. USIP’s work is too important to be undermined by political vandalism. The public deserves accountability and repair—not more impunity.55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Grace Anderson
