Make taxes in MN more progressive and based on ability to pay. Legalize recreational marijuana use in MN while providing banking for companies engaged in the marijuana industry. Stop incarcerating people who use illegal drugs and instead provide services to break the habit and help them become productive citizens, stop jailing juveniles for status offenses or technical violations, stop incarcerating people who cannot make bail for minor offenses Provide instate tuition at state colleges and trade schools and other help for those who fall under DACA.

We strongly urge NYS Thruway Authority Chair Howard Milstein, NYS Department of Transportation Commissioner Joan McDonald, and Federal Highway Acting Administrator Gregory Nadeau to reject any proposal by the Pilgrim Pipeline Company or other entities for construction of a crude oil pipeline in the NYS Thruway right-of-way. The proposed Pilgrim pipeline would carry fracked and volatile Bakken crude oil and flammable refined products made from Bakken crude oil between Albany, N.Y. and Linden, N.J. and pose unnecessary risks to the health, safety, and welfare of communities along the proposed pipeline path as well as to Thruway travelers.

Mr. President: Nothing short of a declaration of war by the global community of nations will adequately focus the commitment and resources of the U.S. and all nations on the fight against Climate Change in the time frame that is required. We need you, Mr. President, to lead the charge, declare this war and sway opinion using your full powers as Commander-in-Chief to commit the entire nation to doing what is needed. The American people want to overcome the fossil fuel industry's deadly and deceptive propaganda machine and corrupt political hold on the Congress and free our country to act decisively against this horrific threat. As President, we need you to vision and lead the way among world leaders to a new paradigm of a World War—one that activates the scientific knowledge and capabilities of each nation toward cooperation, critical alliances, and commitment against our common enemy: our addiction to dirty energy and its pollution that is driving global warming past the critical point of 2 degrees C. Achieving temperature stabilization needs all nations allied together and by doing so, they will share the victory over this grave and urgent threat to all life on the planet and the economic benefits—which is the only way to enable a bright, more cooperative future.
