  • Oklahoma Raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
We the undersigned believe that the federal minimum wage, now at $7.25 an hour, should be raised to $15.00 an hour. Had the minimum wage of 1968 been adjusted for inflation, it would be well above $10.00 an hour today. Productivity has also risen considerably since 1968: The typical worker is almost twice as productive today as he or she was then. Adjusted for both inflation and productivity gains, therefore, the minimum wage should be at least $15.00 an hour.

  • Johnson & Johnson, Follow your corporate credo to "fix our mistakes"
My best friend is un-necessarily dying a slow, horrible death due to a mistake in a clinical trial that made Johnson & Johnson over $1 Billion last year alone. Johnson refuses to help. Large Corporations made up of HUMANS, need to start acting like HUMANS and end the EXCUSE that CORPORATIONS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE HUMAN for the sake of a bit more profit.

  • You can buy soda with food stamps but not toothpaste and brush
Tell Congress to make one simple change to improve the health of many Americans: STOP ALLOWING food stamps to be used to buy soda. DO ALLOW food stamps to used to buy a tooth brush and toothpaste. Soda is not a food; its consumption has been linked to 10 serious diseases that drive up healthcare costs in America. There is NO reason taxpayer dollars should fund soda for citizens on food stamps. But all Americans should have the fundamental right to a toothbrush and toothpaste!

  • Congressional Reform Act of 2013
    1. No Tenure / No Pension. If our military has to work 20 years for a full retirement, congress should be held to the same requirement. 2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose. 3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. The retirement plan being supplemental to Social Security. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. Congress need not put the fox in charge of the hen house. 5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. Any member of congress found guilty of bribery and accepting favors in return for favorable legislation shall face imprisonment of not less than 2 years for every violation and all sentences to be served serially. 7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 10/01/14. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
