We, the undersigned citizens of the commonwealth, call upon your leadership to enact legislation requiring the labeling of all foods that contain genetically engineered ingredients and of all seeds that have been produced through genetic engineering, otherwise referred to as "GMO foods" or "GMOs." We have a right to know what is in the food we eat, what we are feeding to our families, and what we are growing in our farms and gardens. We are asking for a GMO labeling bill to be signed into law this session that will be effective at preserving the transparency of our food supply and robust enough to withstand constitutional challenge. Our children and future generations will thank you for taking action now to protect the genetic integrity of our food, our seeds, and our bodies.

The Hoover, Alabama School Board of Education approved a "Transportation Change" on July 15, 2013. What this "Transportation Change" did was take away school buses for almost 7,000 students in a city that is 50 square miles, leaving those children with no way or unsafe ways to get to school.

Real reform of our chemical laws means: - swift action to protect us from the worst toxic chemicals; - maintain states’ ability to protect residents from toxic chemicals; - proof that chemicals are safe before they are allowed in products; - protection of communities and people at a higher risk of toxic chemical exposure. Oppose bills that give chemical companies a “free pass” to keep putting toxic chemicals in our products and homes. Instead, please stand up for the health and safety of families everywhere and pass real reform.

Our hard working voting personnel and voting officials have been and are currently being persecuted and given death threats by partisans and conspiracy theorists! For example: Tommy Gong has been receiving death threats for many months from Trump Conspiracy Supporters. He has been a hard working election worker for many years. But this year he’s decided to call it quits because of the constant abuse, and death threats he and his family are still receiving to this day from right-wing extremists trying to drive him out. They even accused Tommy of being a communist from China! He was born in America and I think this is a huge disgrace!!! Another example is the Raffensperger family: They had to go into hiding for fear of their safety!! They received several death threats letters saying this: “You and your family will be killed very slowly.” “Keep opposing the audit and someone in your family will have an unfortunate accident.” These election workers are being persecuted by Trump’s thugs and this needs to stop ASAP!!! Mr Biden and Mrs. Harris, I appeal to your sense of compassion and am asking you to please put an immediate stop to the death threats and defamation of these election workers. They desperately need your help! Make these conspiracy extremists causing this unlawful behavior face the consequences of their wrongdoing!

Gun violence is tearing families and communities apart, and we urgently need Congress to put common sense gun control laws in place. Parents are mourning the children they lost. Teachers are shocked that active shooter drills turn into tragic reality. Students are forever traumatized after watching their peers killed. Siblings are missing their best friends at home. Politicians must put families first, but instead we see time and time again that the gun lobby is pouring millions of dollars into the pockets of elected officials who would rather cash a check than protect the communities they represent. Enough. There are basic steps including background checks, waiting periods, and banning assault-style weapons which can help protect our families. Congress should stop cowering to the NRA and instead pass legislation to protect families now.
