University of North Florida: Do not allow Chick-fil-A as a vendor on campusAs a campus that stands for diversity, mutual respect, and civility (as stated in the Institutional Values) the University of North Florida should not allow a company that supports anti-equality measures to open a business on campus. LGBT rights are human rights and no university should cooperate with a group that is openly against human rights. By not allowing the Chick-fil-A vendor to open on campus, the UNF community will affirm its commitment to all of its members. Not allowing this restaurant at the University of North Florida will send a strong message that the University of North Florida stands up for the rights of all their students, faculty, and staff.37 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrew

Small Business Rent and Lease Renegotiation - COVID-19We, non-essential small businesses, would like to have our rents forgiven during the mandatory closure, and the right to renegotiate our leases for the remainder of the lease terms. In Santa Clara County many businesses have not been able to reopen since March 16, 2020, or have reopened at reduced capacity of 10-30%. Meanwhile our bills and rents have not stopped. We would like Governor Newsom to issue an executive order that would provide rent forgiveness during the mandatory closure, and the right to renegotiate our lease for the remainder of the lease term. Property taxes during the closure should still be paid to provide the necessary funding for our local and state governments.525 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Tiffany Gin

National news must end its anti-Palestinian biasWhen reporting on Palestine/Israel, the mainstream American media consistently centers Israeli voices, as it has for decades. In omitting Palestinian voices, histories, and stories—while uncritically repeating the Israeli government’s narratives and propoganda—the U.S. media is complicit in Israel’s ongoing campaign of violence and apartheid. The reporting on Israel’s latest assault on Gaza—which used passive language to discuss the the Israeli military’s murder of Palestinian civilians, including children, and repeated Prime Minister Netanyahu’s talking points—made the danger of this one-sided coverage clear. It must end now. The media should not be a mouthpiece for ANY government, much less one charged with apartheid. We demand the following from national news media: - Stop using the passive voice when describing violence by the Israeli government, which deflects Israel’s accountability for killing or harming Palestinians; - Include proper context when reporting on Palestine and Israel. Thic could entail citing the history of Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians, the ongoing violations of international law, the violence Palestinians face on a daily basis—beyond the horrific bombings that most frequently capture media attention—and the clear imbalance of powe and resources; and - Center Palestinian narratives and ensure that reporters are speaking to Palestinians to share their own stories.43 of 100 SignaturesCreated by MPower Change & Jewish Voice for Peace

SAVE LAWRENCE O'DONNELL'S SHOW, "THE LAST WORD"!!!!!Stop NBC News Chairman, Andrew Lack, from silencing the few remaining liberal voices in mainstream media! Mr. Lack is following the disturbing trend of other right-wing, pro-Trump broadcasting companies like, Sinclair Broadcast Group, who are swallowing up all the left-leaning air-time they can to advance the agenda of cruel conservatism.826 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Lisa Garcia

ALUMNI REJECT UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN'S DECISION TO ROLLBACK DEIDear President Ono, I am profoundly disappointed and concerned about your and other of the top officials at the University of Michigan's recent decision to close its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion offices and discontinue the DEI 2.0 Strategic Plan. This action, which has been taken in response to federal threats to withdraw funding from the University, represents a significant retreat from the university's longstanding commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable academic environment. The University of Michigan’s commitment to DEI was something I was not only proud of as a student and alum, but also a factor that contributed to my decision to attend the University of Michigan. Now, I am extremely embarrassed to be an alum of the University of Michigan. I reject the bullying and authoritarian tactics of the current presidential administration. By giving in to these kinds of demands made by the current federal administration, the University of Michigan is not just sacrificing its own integrity—it is granting more power to those who seek to dismantle the very principles of academic freedom and inclusivity. History has shown us the dire consequences of such compliance. In 1933, academics and universities were among the first targets of the Nazi Party’s oppressive policies. Is the University of Michigan prepared to repeat that history by allowing an extremist government to dictate its values and policies? The timing of this announcement, coming just days after Giving Blueday on March 19, 2025—a campaign that saw over 11,000 donors contribute more than $4.6 million—is particularly troubling. Many alumni participated in this fundraising campaign this year under the belief that our contributions would continue to support initiatives aligned with the university's core values, including diversity and inclusion. To learn exactly one week later that the administration has chosen to dismantle vital DEI programs feels sneaky and deceptive, and it undermines the trust that donors place in the University of Michigan. As an alum, I have always taken pride in the University of Michigan's role as leaders and the best. The university has reliably promoted diversity and fostered a welcoming environment for all students, faculty, and staff. The decision to eliminate these offices not only destroys that legacy but also raises concerns about the university's future direction and its commitment to supporting underrepresented communities in all positions on campus. I urge you and the university's leadership to reverse this course of action. It is not too late. At this juncture, I, along with countless alumni, students, staff, and faculty, would still be willing to engage in transparent dialogue with the university about how we can collectively uphold the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion that have long been central to the University of Michigan's mission.640 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Marisa Diamond

DEMAND The NY Attorney General Charities Bureau- Vacate the Sale of Stolen LandDear Attorney General James and Officers of the Charities Bureau, We, the undersigned petitioners, formally demand the New York Attorney General’s Charities Bureau immediately vacate the 2012 sales approval issued under Index No. 4687/2012 (Kings County Supreme Court), authorizing the wrongful sale of 804–806 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY—a property historically owned by the late Rev Charles Murdaugh, founder of Mt. Zion Church of Christ Disciples. In 2000, following Rev. Murdaugh’s death in 1999, his personal property at 804 and 806 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, was fraudulently transferred into the name of the church. In 2012, when the church petitioned the court to approve the sale, the Charities Bureau knew or should have known that the church did not lawfully own 804 and 806 Myrtle Avenue. This court-approved sale was granted due to the Charities Bureau’s failure to object to the submission of a deed for an entirely different property (802 Myrtle Ave), the absence of the actual deed for 804 and 806 Myrtle Ave, the lack of any Surrogate’s Court administration, the absence of notice to rightful heirs, and the lack of legal authority by those who petitioned the court. The role of the Attorney General’s Charities Bureau is explicitly to scrutinize sales petitions for any indication of fraud before the courts approve the sales of church properties. The failure in discharging this duty has facilitated an egregious miscarriage of justice. The Attorney General’s Chief of Charities Transactions, James Sheehan, has been well aware of this matter since 2014, yet he has refused to take action to rectify this injustice. While other instances of charity fraud have been corrected over the years, his continued inaction in this case displays clear selective enforcement and a disregard for equal protection under the law.The failure to address this blatant fraud is a betrayal of public trust. A 44-unit luxury apartment building now sits on land stolen from Charles Murdaugh, with the involvement of the New York Attorney General’s Charities Bureau. We demand the Charities Bureau act within its supervisory capacity to move to vacate the sale and initiate corrective action, pursuant to CPLR § 5015(a)(3), which allows relief from an order obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or other misconduct. The New York Attorney General’s continued inaction only deepens the injury caused by this unlawful transfer and undermines public trust in the oversight of charitable and religious property. We demand justice, accountability, and restoration.232 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Perri Sands
