Common Sense Gun Reform - To Honor the Sandy Hook Elementary School Victims "To: The President and Congress of the United States In honor of the 20 innocent children and 7 courageous adults who were senselessly murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012, we petition our government to immediately enact common sense gun reform based on the following Four Principles: 1. Affirm and Respect the Second Amendment's "....right to bear arms"; 2. Universal Registration and Background Checks; 3. No Guns for Felons/people with Severe Mental Illness; 4. Ban Semi-Automatic Weapons and High Capacity Clips; We ask that Congress passes, and the President signs, the "Sandy Hook Elementary School Common Sense Gun Reform Act" based on these Principles no later than January 31, 2013 and that they declare December 14th, "National Sandy Hook Elementary School Remembrance Day," with a candle flame as its symbol.

Payroll taxes are disproportionately and unfairly collected on the working men and women of this country causing funding shortages. The current payroll cap on wages in excess of $113,700 per year costs this country greater than $100 Billion in lost revenue each year, enough to keep Social Security viable for many generations to come!

We are outraged by Wells Fargo’s role in financing CoreCivic and GEO Group. Private prison companies hold contracts to operate hundreds of prisons, jails, and immigration detention centers across the country that are being used to incarcerate and separate families. Private prison industry leaders CoreCivic and GEO Group depend on debt financing from banks like yours to conduct their day-to-day business operations, finance new facilities, and acquire smaller companies. An analysis of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings over the past 10 years shows that Wells Fargo has played a leading role in financing these debts. In doing so, Wells Fargo is complicit in and profiting from mass incarceration and the criminalization of immigration. We demand that you immediately stop financing CoreCivic and GEO Group.

The ties to Russian by members of the Trump campaign, both before and after the election are so numerous at this point that it is not fair to the American people, the majority of whom did not vote for Trump, to continue to be held in suspense, about potential treason by Trump and the Trump administration. The so-called bipartisan investigations behind closed doors by the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the FBI (which started LAST SUMMER), are not truly bi-partisan at all, but are being controlled, manipulated and delayed by the Republicans in congress and by Director Comey, whose interference in the election contributed to Secretary Clinton's defeat. The CHFS of Lexington Kentucky wrongfully removed my kids and adopted them out to some white people name Gary and Wanda Smith. I fought for 2 years, did everything I was supposed to do, completed 3 different case plans with 4 different Social Workers. They took my newborn for prescribed medicine that I was given by my doctor during my pregnancy, the Social Workers lied and Manipulated the Court and never showed that I completed everything they asked for 2 years. The Judge really didn't know about the case or even really looked at my case she thought the perpetrator was my man, and he was my brother that's how I knew she didn't care, they have violated my rights as a single black young parent raising 5 kids. I have written to everybody I know that I could write to try and get my story out, but everybody seem so afraid to stand up for their rights, but am not because my Constitutional Rights as a single Mother was violated and the 4 Social Workers Carolina Glass and her Supervisor, Angela R. Smith and her Supervisor, Shay Blackford and her Supervisor and Cynthia Ready and her Supervisor have all lied under oath just so they can adopt my kids out and I have proof and I justice for them tearing up a happy home and to bring my kids back home where they deserve to be.

Title of Bill: Grant-Martin-Brown Police Accountability Act BE IT ENACTED BY THE CALIFORNIA STATE LEGISLATURE Preamble: Whereas, in light of the deaths of Oscar Grant, Trayvon Martin, and Michael Brown, and the scores of people of color who have died or been unfairly prosecuted in similar ways, and since there is a disproportionate number of people of color in Californian prisons in part due to reliable evidence of police racial profiling, since this racial profiling has broken communities of people’s faith and trust in police officers, since this breakdown of trust perpetuates crime and creates tragedies similar to the one’s listed above, and since the financial and social cost of police officers being accused of targeting people of color burdens our society with financial strain, unrest and upheaval, SECTION 1: Let California set the standard of accountability for the nation by mandating that all police officers, while on duty, be required to wear a video camera that accurately records their actions. SECTION 2: Let California restore people’s trust in police officers by incorporating best-practices and evidence-based treatment of racial profiling and racism into all police officer’s training, beginning at the police academy and continuing through-out each police officer’s career. SECTION 3: Let Californian police officers be role models in the community that they serve by mandating community service, particularly to programs aimed at boosting disadvantaged youth and people of color. SECTION 5: This bill shall go into effect 91 days after passage.

Esto sería catastrófico para las personas que dependemos del Tren para llegar a nuestras casas después del trabajo, de nuestros estudios o de cualquier otra diligencia. Si se redujeran las horas del tren, muchas personas perderían sus trabajos, no podrían solicitar empleos de turnos rotativos y se perjudicarían muchos estudiantes que planificaron sus clases nocturnas dependiendo del servicio del Tren. Muchos de estos estudiantes hicieron esta planificación antes de que se planteara la reducción. NO CAUSEN NUEVOS DESPIDOS, NO AUMENTEN EL DESEMPLEO.
