Laura Ingraham has repeatedly expressed commentaries that are contrary to the Fox News Workplace Professionalism and Inclusion standard as updated June 6, 2018. Specifically, the unprofessional commentaries as they relate to the late, Nipsey Hussle. Fox reporter Laura Ingraham was disrespectful and unprofessional in the manner in which she reported on his funeral. In the mentioned segment, you can see Laura and her co-host chuckle as they talk about #YG’s ‘FDT’ song, a song in which was not even by the late, Nipsey Hussle. We as a community have sat idle while Fox News has repeatedly been insensitive in their reporting of Black & Latino issues but the recent disrespect to a fallen community leader is where the line is drawn. Not only do these comments need to be retracted, her statements as they were incorrect require a written and on camera apology and further call for Laura Ingraham firing as a Fox News Reporter, unless these are supported business practices of Fox News, Walt Disney, the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) and 21st Century Fox.

Institute a flat tax rate of approximately 19% with everyone under $45,000 a year paying nothing. No deductions. This will raise that tax paid by wealthy Americans, but not exorbitantly, and will provide relief for the poorest Americans who will not have to go without food and shelter to pay taxes. It will slightly reduce or not change taxes to everyone in the middle. It will also cut government spending with a smaller IRS since enforcement will be much easier.

1. Stop the post office from basing letter carriers farther from their customers. This costs added gasoline money and delays mail. It also degrades the level of service to customers. Letter carriers should be based at the nearest post office to their delivery addresses. 2. Add new services to the post office like simple banking, paying traffic tickets, issuing hunting and fishing licenses. Allow the post office to offer internet services and sell affordable cell phones. 3. End the drastic pre funding of retiree healthcare benefits as mandated in the PAEA of 2006. 4. Improve service standards. In a world that is moving faster and faster the post office needs to keep up with the times and offer quicker delivery standards. 5. Expand, modernize and end the corporate lead movement to privatize the US Postal Service. Keep our city post offices open with carrier stations. End the pilot program with Staples office products stores and offer copy machines at the post office.

Maryland contains many of the crown jewels of science. From Johns Hopkins, NIH to the University of Maryland, we have been home to dozens of Nobel laureates and have created many of the life saving treatments that have changed and saved lives. Yet Congress, through their policy of budget sequestration, has made devastating cuts, across the board. The impact is not just on federal institutions but our state university system. These publicly funded institutions support a vast and growing biotechnology sector in our state. We have rich community of talent here and it is now at risk. Tell the President to veto any continuing resolution that maintain these devastating cuts.
