  • Save My Son (all children from abuse)
On January 25, a Marin County Family Court Mediator wrote a RECOMMENDATION that puts my son in harms way, that includes false statements, that lists the wrong court date, and that lacks due diligence required by this powerful position in determining a child's HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE. This court mediator's REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION has endangered my child with the reckless endorsement of a Troubled Teen Residential Facility, Utah, for my son that is not troubled. My child is not troubled as determined by his Superior Intelligence and Neuropsychological Report, by the current Developmental Pediatric Behaviorists' therapists statement that my son is not depressed, nor truant, nor a user of recreational drugs #substantiated by a drug test#. The attack on my son is because he has ADHD, diagnosed since the second grade, with a corresponding Individual Educational Program #IEP#. His performance has been constant with high test results, retained comprehension with failing grades for lack of homework. How many other families and children must be subjected to the Marin County Family Court Mediator's production of reckless CUSTODY REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS that ignore due diligence and endorse Troubled Teen Residential Facilities all to the detriment of children? It is time to stop the Marin County Family Court endorsement of child abuse. It is time to STOP CHILD ABUSE through unregulated Troubled Teen Residential Facilities now and STOP the MARIN COUNTY COURT MEDIATOR from putting my son in harms way. Will you sign my petition too? • Cut Defense and Fed Gov pensions now
This is not about compromise. Bogus/Fraud Fiscal Cliff. The solution to the fiscal cliff is very simple defense and pensions make up 50% of the budget.  There should be no government pensions.  Phase out employee, non-elected the same way corporations and unions and city and state governments are reducing or eliminating them.  Private sector only has 401Ks sometimes no matching...you are lucky if you get 5 or 10% matching.  All elected gov officials city, state, and federal eliminate free health care and free pensions immediately and retroactively, no free travel expenses and no free housing expenses, no exceptions. Elected officials must sacrifice if they want to serve the people.  No double dipping on existing pensions....pick the best one that you are entitled.  The others are public money and wasteful spending that cheats ordinary Americans. www. usfederalbudget.us/federal_budget_detail_fy13 Matching 401Ks should be the most any governmental body should offer for retirement.  Do not cut social security or medicare.  They are mandatory deductions from pay that are allocated reserves that should not have been touched, mismanaged by deficit spending republicans.  Lifeline for the middle and low income Americans. stop making new rules that makes the tax code more complicated.  10% taxes for $300K and below, 40% for $300K and above, no deductions, no AMT, nada, you donate if you can afford it, look Zukerberg donated $100 mil to NJ schools and another $500 million to other causes, more net spending income for all Americans....the rich won't be affected....they have the means to earn more....the poor are stuck, eliminating credits and other exceptions is more of the same.  set a flat net income tax rate for small business and corporations....25% to 35%, no loopholes, downsize the IRS, cut funding to expenses funded by the general fund.  cut foreign aid, end wars, plan for natural disasters, cut all grants, expenses need to be  itemized and put up to a popular vote...50% of the federal budget is plenty of space to find cuts that won't hurt ordinary Americans.  The slew of worthless propositions, this is the real use for propositions, don't let those bribed elected politicians make spending decisions.  America can make them better.  Example, Prop 30 for Education and other critical expenses voted in by CA.

  • Gov. Quinn: We Need Common Sense Gun Legislation NOW!
It is urgent that we address our gun violence epidemic in Illinois! Please support the Certificate of Handguns Registration Act (HB 5831) in order to close dangerous loopholes in Illinois’ gun laws, promote gun owner accountability, and provide law enforcement with the information and systems necessary to solve gun crimes. This bill provides two reasonable solutions to save lives in our communities: requiring handguns to be titled just like cars and placing a ban on military style assault weapons. Together, we must urge lawmakers to enact stronger common sense gun laws to protect our communities from this deadly epidemic.

  • School Officials: Investigate Illegal Impersonation
A person who is not a public figure used her personal Twitter account to promote candidates for school board while impersonating illegally LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner, fraudulently misusing his name and photo instead of her own. This action plainly appears to violate state penal code resulting from passage of SB 1411 (state law since 2010), which protects public figures from false impersonation. And the public tweets potentially influenced the election results by misleading the public. Superintendent Beutner and the LAUSD Counsel should investigate this apparent illegal act of impersonation and clear breach of public integrity.
