As with the original during the Great Depression, WPA TODAY would enlist our many, many unemployed (who WANT to work and own a wide range of qualifications from unskilled to highly skilled) to REPAIR & REBUILD our country's decaying infrastructure. The nation's parks, storm-ruined coastal cities, bridges, railroads, roads; from fading architectural detail gracing our national treasures to just about anything that once bejeweled this nation..... it's all falling apart. We must turn our greatest resource, people who want to work, into a successful WPA for TODAY. We are at the tipping point. Let's encourage our legislators to get something that's priceless for OUR tax money: an AMERICA RESTORED... by a WPA for today.

Give all workers a chance to start to rise above poverty

I support raising the minimum wage in Georgia...why must we be last in all things progressive?

To urge the New York local and state government to increase the minimum wage to $15 state wide as soon as possible.

We, the undersigned, oppose the March 29, 2014 demonstration by the group ACT 746 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We also favor PERMANENTLY banning the open carry of handguns in our peaceful, tourist-friendly town.

To Stop self approved Raises and Wasteful spending by Congress and Washington.

Our system is broken. The need for Term Limits, and a Line Item Veto is now. All bills in Congress need to be one subject orentiated, no riders. Up or down votes required.

Please consider the establishment of a progressive and periodic tax on firearms with the specific intent of using the tax revenue to supplement the funding of mental health and public health programs as well as firearm management. A tax that will increase rapidly with the capability/firepower of the firearm. An ammunition tax applied at point-of-sale can also be rapidly progressive based on firepower/purpose.

First, establish a federal "cost of living" standard that reflects the minimum cost of what it takes to live in a modern society. Then, raise the federal minimum wage to a rate that provdes 100% of the basic cost of living, and adjust that rate regionally so that everyone who works can afford to live.

We oppose cutting social security benefits. For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities.
