  • Down with Confederate Soldiers in New Orleans
In light of the recent movement in South Carolina; and, the many racists actions against minorities in our country, it is evident that the remnants of our nations horrible past fuel the current cruelty found in political parties and throughout our government. The statues of Confederate soldiers and other hate symbols found throughout the city of New Orleans should be removed from public facilities funded by us all; maybe this removal will contribute to a more homogeneous society.

  • No new waterpark in Dublin during the drought!
Using 80,000 gallons of water for the Dublin, California waterpark in this drought is obscene. This park should not be built. It will cause more traffic back-up, and we already are bumper-to-bumper on our freeways. It is recycled water, but what about evaporation? The citizens of Dublin should not have to suffer.

  • Reform The New Michigan Auto Law
If you feel that there should be reforms made to the New Michigan Auto Law then we need your support. This bill was written at the last second and forced through the House and the Senate with little or no time for the legislators to see what was really buried within the bill. We feel that is important that they are made aware of these flaws and reforms are made to correct the New Michigan Auto Law. Please sign our electronic form and show your support for reform.

  • Ban Trump's Harmful News Conferences
It is time for news organizations to step up and acknowledge their participation in encouraging Donald Trump's lies. All of our lives are at risk and yet this man is encouraged to insult and berate journalists, medical professionals, et al while endangering the lives of all Americans with his "wait and see" attitude in providing individuals on the front lines of this pandemic with tests, ensuring that manufacturers begin mass production of masks, gloves, gowns, equipment and drugs needed to facilitate medical personnel in this overwhelming fight. No one in the media should continue to encourage the raw ego of Mr. Donald Trump. We are all on the brink of disaster.

  • The Agricultural News & Rural Content Act
I am a member of the agricultural community, FFA, and 4H. Having the rural American and agriculture television programs is very important and I rely on them highly. I personally am lucky enough that my TV provider still offers RFD TV. Although many of my family members, friends, and community members are affected by this. They do not have the option available or they must pay extra for a channel or a whole package. I am looking to see that these programs are not taken away and are more so included in TV packages throughout all providers. I am asking you to help protect rural programming by urging that the Agricultural News & Rural Content Act be attached to the Infrastructure Bill. I find the rural and agriculture news very informing and important. To my family, friends, and community we look to the channels to watch the weather and know about the important things going on in the agriculture community. To others and myself, it's not just a tv channel, I enjoy watching the rodeos and FFA conventions when I am not able to attend. Thank you for your consideration and I would be interested in speaking with you about this further. Thank you for your time.

  • Reparations Task Force for New Orleans
Dear City Council Members, We're asking you to establish a Reparations Task Force to support: 1. NEW GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAMS 2. WOMEN OF COLOR SEEK REPARATIONS TO REPAIR THE HARM DONE TO THEM BY POLICIES IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA, AND THE UNITED STATES WHICH DEPRIVE THEM OF SOVEREIGNTY OVER THEIR BODIES AND ACCESS TO EQUITABLE HEALTH RESOURCES 3. COMMUNITY-BASED PUBLIC SAFETY PROJECTS 4. RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SERVICES FOR VICTIMS OF GUN VIOLENCE 5. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MUSICIANS AND OTHER CULTURAL WORKERS AND INSTITUTIONS 6. GRANTS FOR HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT ORGANIZATIONS Reparations Task Forces (RTF) have been put in place in California, Detroit, MI, Providence, RI, Amherst, MA, San Francisco, CA, Evanston, IL, and other cities to address the disparities in health, housing, criminal justice, and educational outcomes between Black and white residents due to racially discriminatory policies and practices, past and present. To remedy this situation, Reparations Task Forces and “Community Reparations Funds” have begun to repair the damage to African American individuals, families, and communities. Black New Orleanians have often been targeted for discriminatory housing, criminal justice, and other racially-biased policies in the past, they should now be targeted for assistance through the RTF’s Community Reparations Fund that would receive donations for its activities from both public and private agencies and institutions. This proposal is sponsored by: Justice & Beyond Louisiana, Ashé Cultural Arts Center, National African American Reparations Commission, Think504, Blacksourcemedia, A Community Voice, Broadmoor Community Church, Community Mediation Services, Ubuntu Village, People's Institute for Survival & Beyond, N.O. Musicians Assistance Fdn, The Guardians of the Flame, REMILA and Queens of Nation.

  • Disqualify Donald Trump in New York
The Constitution’s 14th Amendment provides for the disqualification from office of any person who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the United States. That includes Donald Trump. As a result, he does not meet the qualifications to become president again. Election officials in every state must respect the Constitution and reject Trump from their ballots. And Congress can help clarify that by passing legislation to bar Trump from office under the Fourteenth amendment.
