  • Leniency for Abel Cedeño
Abel Cedeno was taunted for years because of his sexual orientation , bullied every day by classmates . After several failed attempts with school staff to end the bullying Abel reached his breaking point . He made the rash decision of attacking his classmates after his bullies repeatedly threw pencils at his head , unfortunately the attack ended in the death of a classmate. This young man pleaded for help to no avail and it's unfair that he's a victim also and he will be scarred for life. Abel is a young man who made a mistake and acted on impulse , please sign for the judge to have leniency . Don't let this young life go lost in the system because school staff swept this under the rug.

  • Stop the Canadian Pipeline
Protect our way of life...clean air...clean water and clean land. Say "NO" to Keystone XL Pipeline who wants to endanger out lives and take American and Native American land to benefit their own pockets.

  • Make Election Day a National Holiday
In a true democracy, every citizen should have the opportunity to vote. Unfortunately, the average American with a family and a full-time job can't simply drop everything, drive or take public transit to their polling place, and spend several hours waiting in line. This is especially true for lower income citizens. The current structure has created a situation where the most privileged sectors of society wield a disproportionate amount of influence on the political process. That's not democracy, that's plutocracy. Give every citizen a voice by giving them ALL an opportunity to vote.

  • Stop the Common Core teaching methods and testing
We all agree that the backward way of teaching our state's children makes no sense and is detrimental to their learning. Teaching children to take exponentially more steps and time to arrive at answers and expecting them to be able to analyze and infer from information that they don't have the experience or language skills to understand is insane. The Common Core also completely ignores the development of basic writing skills like grammar, spelling and penmanship.

  • Workers Distinction
Create a legal distinction between full and part time employees, for all workers. As of now there is no protection under the law for workers that work 40 plus hours a week yet are listed as part time employees by their employers and therefore not eligible for company benefit plans.

  • Laws to Protect unarmed Black Men from being killed by law enforcement officers.
The recent killings of Black Males has reached epidemic proportions throughout the country and local law officials seem to have a blatant disregard for the human rights of the Black Male population. If we are a Nation of Laws like we profess to be, then we need a law to stop these atrocities.
