The New York House has already passed a Bill in the House to Legalize Medical Marijuana in 2013. The Senate stalled in passing the bill, so we are asking Senate to pass this bill in 2014.

Much of the rest of the world requires foods with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to be labeled (if they are allowed at all). Surely we deserve the same privilege. Require GMO labeling!

Hello my name is Laticia I am a mother of 4. Im homeless in New York City. I was released from a Domestic Violence Shelter, to be placed in a scattered sight. When I arrived with my family we were given an apartment with blood stains and urine on all bed mold spores on the other mattres. Roaches, windows didnt open you name it bed bugs etc. The next day my caseworker came deemed the place unfit. But they would not transfer me. She sent me back to PATH HRA They denied me services at 11pm at night a metro card and made us leave the building. I am in an unsafe borough for the man who almost took my lifes family found out where I am. By law I was supposed to transfered asap. I have no income besides my daughters survivor check $500 every 28th of the month we have not eating, our clothing ruined from the bed bugs I reached out to Mayoral Canidates, Advocates, Local news anyone to help advocate for me & no one has assisted. Im a wonderful mother who is dealing with a 13yr old daughter who seen her father take his life on her birthday. She cuts herself now has social anxiety. My son has tried to be strong but broke down. I need any assistance. Sleeping with my children in a hallway is nothing any parent wants to do. I need any type of donations for my family clothing, food, linens anything. Please Help Be My Voice

Whereas Fox News repeatedly and intentionally showed a fraudulent film depicting Planned Parenthood selling baby parts, and whereas viewing this video prompted Robert Lewis Dear to commit mass murder upon the occupants of the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood facility. We petition Planned Parenthood file a wrongful death suit against Fox News. As the Ku Klux Klan was found to be the agent of the murder of Michael Donald in 1981, so Fox News was the agent for these murders; just as Judge Alex T. Howard, the presiding judge in the Michael Donald case, redefined agency to determine that the Klan was responsible for actions of its members, so Fox News is responsible for the actions of its viewers. We petition Plannned Parenthood to sue and bankrupt Fox News.

Dear Administrator McCarthy, Our communities deserve to be safe from dangerous chemical plants, which cause explosions and toxic chemical leaks near schools, homes, and businesses all over America. In New Mexico alone, there are 89 chemical facilities that pose grave risks to our communities. They use or store 9,688,167 pounds of toxic chemicals every day. Please make a strong rule requiring chemical plants and refineries to use the safest cost-effective chemicals and technology available to prevent future chemical disasters in our communities.

This petition promotes a replacement of the current Senate Filibuster rule as follows: "Each Senator shall be considered to represent one half the population of their state as determined by the latest US Census. For a bill to pass to the floor of the Senate for debate and vote requires a vote of Senators representing a majority of the citizens of the US." Currently a vote of 41 Senators will block a bill from reaching the floor. In both the Republican and Democratic case, this can represent the will of only 25% of our citizens. This change will serve to restore balance between the more rural and urban sections of our country and ensure that we can respond to the rapidly evolving needs of our society.
