  • Bring Back Millsberry.com
Millsberry.com was a place where kids could learn about giving back and the importance of changing the world just by playing educational games. You had your own house, and learned about shopping and money. As a kid I loved that website. They ended up shutting the site down last year. I am 18 now and still wish we had the website.

  • Students of VCU Support LGBTQ Rights
Virginia Commonwealth University Office of the President 910 W Franklin St Richmond, Virginia 23284 Dear Dr. Michael Rao and the Board of Visitors: The 2010-2011 academic year has been an amazing and unforgettable experience for VCU students, staff and alumni alike. We would like to thank you for your obvious dedication to this community, from the unwavering support for our student organizations and sports teams to the continued investments in our academic facilities. As the spring 2011 commencement approaches, however, many members of the current and future graduating classes are strongly opposed to the choice of Governor Bob McDonnell as commencement speaker on May 21, 2011. This letter is intended to express our disappointment that Board of Visitors would choose a speaker that has attacked multiple objectives in the Vision and Goals of the Office of the President. Our graduation speakers represent a powerful face to the public and to the VCU community; we encourage you and the Board of Visitors to choose these individuals carefully in coming years. Our opposition to Gov. Bob McDonnell as keynote speaker stems from multiple issues. VCU has a diverse and progressive student body and we strive to encourage the equal treatment of all of our students, faculty and staff. Gov. Bob McDonnell has undermined our goals for equality by supporting Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s threat to take action against Virginia’s public colleges and universities that want to ensure anti-discrimination rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity. He fails to uphold VCU’s mission statement “to value and promote racial and cultural diversity in its student body, faculty, administration and staff.” Even more abhorrent is his recent threat to withhold funding from our university in response to tuition increases implemented by the Board of Visitors. This act was an inappropriate and targeted assault on the VCU community that damages VCU’s ability to “ensure and maintain the highest levels of University efficiency, accountability and infrastructure support required to achieve our strategic vision” as outlined in the Vision and Goals of the Office of the President. It is shocking that the Board of Supervisors would choose a graduation speaker that has excessively punished VCU for executing management practices that aim to maintain quality education for its students. Attached are the signatures of students who are dedicated to the mission and goals of Virginia Commonwealth University. We encourage courage the Board of Supervisors to extend future keynote speaker invitations only to those individuals that are dedicated to that mission as well. Thank you for your time. Sincerely,

  • Investigate Rep. Devin Nunes
One of Rudy Giuliani’s close associates has accused Rep. Devin Nunes, a congressional ally of President Trump, of using taxpayer dollars to do the president’s bidding -- and meeting with an ex-Ukrainian official to dig up dirt on Vice President Joe Biden. Congress must thoroughly investigate these serious allegations.

  • Tell your Alderman to support Fair Election Illinois
As a constituent in your ward, I am asking you to support the Fair Elections Illinois campaign to create a small donor match campaign finance system in the City of Chicago. An increase in small donors in electoral campaigns will decrease the reliance on large special interests, and increase political participation and the value of small donors. Most importantly, it will give you the time to engage with your constituents and address issues in our ward, instead of having to spend valuable time fundraising from special interests.

  • Save our old growth trees and control oversize home development in St. Louis Park
Our city is being overrun with developers buying existing properties, tearing them down, and replacing them with ugly, cookie-cutter homes with huge footprints (exceeding 3000 square feet). Most of these homes are priced to sell above $500-600k, double or triple the value of existing houses in the area, guaranteeing that all of our property taxes will increase. Many of these developments have also resulted in a loss of old growth trees (e.g. some that are 150-200 years old). By the loss of these homes and trees that pre-existed any development, we are experiencing immeasurable loss – not limited to views, a mature tree canopy, and our city’s character and charm.

  • No Israeli attack on Iran! No WW 3 !
Allowing to the IAEA (International Atomic energy Agency), there is no proof that Iran is developping Nuclear weapon. Iran has by the way signed the NPT (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapon), and is developping nuclear energy because Oil caves will be empty within ten years. Israel wants to attack nuclear Site in Iran, but that could lead to a nuclear World war 3. If Israel supported by US attacks Iran, China and Russia said they will military interfere to stop the West interference in Middle East. Plus, bombs on nuclear sites can destroy entire lands. Europe is also thratened by possible repercussions from countries that are attacked. So this petition must be signed if you don't want the history to repeat and to flirt again with a nuclear war.

  • We need a REAL Supreme Court code of conduct
The Supreme Court’s new “code of conduct” falls short of what we need. We demand REAL, enforceable ethics standards now. Congress must pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act and create the strongest possible code of conduct for our highest court.
