NBC: Don't reward Russia's anti-gay crackdown by hosting the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow. Move the pageant from Russia to a location that won't put LGBT and LGBT-friendly participants and guests in danger.

Mayor Brand and Council Member Bredefeld want to ban all cannabis businesses in Fresno, including those serving medical cannabis patients. The "double ban" will harm thousands of patients protected by Propositions 215 and 64, contribute to crime and nuisance grow sites, and cost the city millions of dollars in lost jobs and tax revenues. I respectfully ask the Fresno City Council to reject the mayor's plan as being damaging to patients and veterans. Please establish a citizens advisory committee to create a better plan that will regulate and tax cannabis, create new jobs and industry, protect patients and veterans who use cannabis for medical purposes, and improve public safety. We need a noise barrier between our homes and 35W. After construction, the cars will pass less than 30 feet from our homes. There is also no protection from vehicles striking our homes if they accidentally fly off the road, such as the incident that made me start this petition.

Censure is a formal and public group condemnation of an individual, whose actions run counter to the group's acceptable standards for individual behavior. It’s not just poor districts that are being shortchanged, but districts with a high concentration of minority students are also receiving lower levels of funding. Districts that are predominantly non-white comprise 32.4% of all the districts funded between 50-59%. These districts represent 8.14% of all the districts in the state. Not only is Schenectady poor with a Combined Wealth Ratio (CWR) that sits well below the average (0.386), the district is comprised of a population in which the “minority is the majority.”

Have strong and uniform gun safety laws throughout the state so we can stop the daily killings of kids in Chicago. Ban assault weapons, magzines having more than 10 rounds and legislate background checks on every gun buyer.

Wisconsin lawmakers have an opportunity to accept new funds from the federal government to expand the state's Medicaid program and help over 200,000 Wisconsinites.
