We desperately need a Green New Deal, and the Green New Deal for Cities would make sure every city, town, county and tribe can have a federally funded Green New Deal. We need to tackle the environmental injustices that are making us sicker, costing us our homes, and destroying our planet. Freezing temperatures and extreme heat will only continue to get worse. We need to prepare our national infrastructure to support our people.

And they have their sights set on Surprise, Arizona, for one of the next locations of their cruel camps. Arizona residents OPPOSE misusing our taxpayer dollars to fund this administration’s inhumane, chaotic, and unlawful deportation agenda. And we demand our local elected leaders do everything in their power to block the construction of this new mega detention center. 

Let Big Oil Companies pay for the cost of New York and New Jersey, climate-change caused, Hurricane Sandy storm-damage relief. They stand against the transition away from the burning of fossil fuels so they should pay for the damage it causes.

Commissioner Kelly and Mayor Bloomberg: Anti-corruption Whistle blower Sunny was abducted by two NYPD detectives of the Queens DA bureau and threatened with death if he "went to the authorities". Soon thereafter, Mr. Sheu was found near death, in a coma on a dead end street in Flushing Queens. Hours after his death, the NYPD illegally removed his body and sent it to the Medical Examiner with a note saying he had died of natural causes and that there was "no criminality". The Medical examiner disagreed, ruling the cause of death "Blunt force trauma to the Head with skull fractures and brain injuries." and the manner of death "undetermined", making a criminal investigation mandatory. -The NYPD is violating NY State law by failing to investigate an "undetermined" death. -The NYPD is violating NY State FOIL law by withholding information about Mr. Sheu's death. We demand an immediate, full, transparent investigation by an independent prosecutor and prosecution of all involved, including NYPD personnel.

June 27th 2024 we all lost a close friend named Sophie she was so beautiful and kind hearted. But because of Mr.Young a PE teacher at Brawley Union High School, Sophie was in the second PE class of the day for summer school and she was running because Mr.Young had made her and a couple other students run extra laps for being a late to class (Sophie was not late to class that day she was there before a couple students who were late and were not made to run) she had asked Mr.Young if she could stop running and walk but as he always said “You have to run to pass my class” he would say that to anyone who asked to stop running or anyone who told him they don’t feel well. Sophie had continued to run as she was told to many students saw as she slowed down and collapsed in the gym, she ended up having multiple seizures. Mr. Young did not hurry to help her, he actually yelled at her to get up and keep running they another student had went to help her, after the student yelled for Mr.Young he went and grabbed Sophie by the arm to help her up but she couldn’t get up so he stood there hold her arm in the air like she was an animal or something. Luckily security came in and that is when Mr.Young started to act worried and like he cared, Sophie was still having seizures back to back. She ended up getting taken to the hospital a little while later. Sadly she passed while in the hospital.

Each state is allowed two statues of noteworthy citizens for display in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Congress. States are allowed to replace statues if they so desire. Presently the two Georgia statues are of Crawford Long, inventor of anesthesia, and Alexander Stephens, Vice President of the Confederacy. We should replace the statue of Stephens. Here are some possibilities: Jimmy Carter, Juliette Gordon Low, Flannery O'Connor, James Brown, Alice Walker, Walt Kelly, Little Richard
