CREATE JOBS AND REBUILD INFRASTRUCTUREMr. President, Warren Buffet said "not to coddle the rich anymore." This is the perfect opportunity to ask Congress for $3 trillion dollars to rebuild this country's crumbling infrastructure. I agree with you 100% that new schools need to be built by unemployed Americans that have skilled trades. But this time, each and every new school, home and office building needs to be built with eco-friendly materials & wi-fied. All new local roads, bridges and highways need to be wi-fied as well. When someone breaks down, emergency services would be provided with a better response time. As for local communities, high speed broadband, updated electric power grids and new sewer systems are badly needed in rural communities that people are now moving to. Rural and city police, fire stations, hospitals and personnel along with other services are needed. High speed rail is needed to transport the general public faster for a smooth trip with excellent service for the passengers to their destinations. The military also needs to be updated as well by going hi-tech using drones and other mechanical robots to go into dangerous places that are not safe for miliary personnel. The Department Of Transportation needs to be updated as well. Every American city, their buses, trains and other city vehicles (as well as their satellite offices) need to be wi-fied too. If the Republicans and members of the Tea Party continue to say "No" or make up excuses to not back your agenda then you have to LEAVE THEM ALONE !!! I commend you for trying, but enough is enough, Mr.President !!! Now this is the time to ask for everything that you need to rebuild this country to become a stronger beacon of hope !!! If anyone has any questions about this, please feel free to contact me and I will explain to you what you don't understand !!! I thank you for taking the time to read this. Shine a Star until Stricter Gun Control Legislation is PassedSince the Newtown tragedy occurred on December 14th, we have been overwhelmed by media coverage and details about the event. But importantly, a majority of Americans indicate they support passing new laws addressing gun violence. To demonstrate our opinions, we need to take coordinated action to signal to our representatives that we want change now – at the beginning of the 113th Congressional Session. Americans universally mourn the loss of their fellow citizens by senseless, irrational and random gun violence. Certainly the recent deadly Sandy Hook tragedy cuts deep into our psyche when we lose 20 five and six year old children and six talented and valued adults. The action that took these lives was depraved and unfathomable and shakes us to our core. To remember and mourn those whose lives were taken through this senseless violence and, at the same time, send a message to our legislative representatives that we want immediate and expanded regulations enacted that address gun violence, we propose a coordinated action of “Shine a Star”. This “Shine a Star” concept was conceived at a recent MoveOn-sponsored candlelight vigil held in Hawaii on December 15th. With President Obama and his family expected to visit the O’ahu island shortly, we hope to attract his and his family’s attention to this effort. To achieve the dual objective of remembrance and change, we encourage all Americans, including our First Family, to “Shine a Star” at their homes and keep them lighted and displayed year-round until new gun violence legislation is enacted by Congress. We ask that you take personal action by not only “Shining a Star” at your home but also by utilizing your own email and social media contacts and asking everyone you know to do the same ~ “Shine a Star”. It is not necessary to have an electric star, but if you have one that you use in your holiday decorations, keep it lighted and shining after the holiday season, until change is achieved. Also you can create a star to put in your window. Work with your children. Make it an important project and decorate it with glitter or sparkles to catch the light. Prominently display the Star in your window or on your front door where everyone will readily see it. We hope the Shining Stars will grow in numbers across the country and create a new nationwide Star network in the night sky. The silent message of the Shining Stars will be – ENOUGH! Our lighted and shining Stars will not be turned off until our children and the people of this nation are protected from future senseless killing perpetrated by gun violence. Please sign this petition committing that you support new gun violence regulations, that you will ask your family and friends to support new gun legislation and that you will Shine a Star on your home until this needed new gun legislation is passed.76 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrea Duncan

PETITION TO PROTECT ROCHESTER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS AGAINST EDUCATORS AND OTHERS WHO SUPP...Dear Rochester City School District parents, family members, friends, and concerned citizens: We believe that children in the Rochester City School District (RCSD) are in danger. Matthew Lomaglio a former gym teacher employed by the RCSD was recently convicted of sexually molesting an 8 year old student at the school where Lomaglio worked (Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19). The abuse occurred during the 2006 - 07 school year. Lomaglio was found guilty in November, 2013 of second degree sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child, and was sentenced in January, 2014 to only four years in prison. Lomaglio later confessed to committing the crimes listed above. After Lomaglio had been convicted, it was reported by several news sources, including Fox News, EAG News, and the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle that 22 RCSD employees wrote letters to Judge Joanne M. Winslow in support of Matthew Lomaglio, prior to his sentencing. The letters were written by teachers and various other personnel employed with the RCSD, and others. According to news reports referenced above, numerous RCSD employees refused to cooperate with the police investigation, which was conducted regarding the case. Although, educators are mandated to report child abuse, a spokesman for the RCSD was quoted as having said “there may be little anyone can do about the teachers, because they are free to express their opinions about the case, and cannot be compelled to participate in a criminal investigation.” What good does reporting abuse do if the RCSD does not require its teachers, administrators, and support staff to cooperate with any and all investigations involving reports of child abuse? The lack of cooperation stifles the investigation, impedes discovery of the abuser, and lengthens the amount of time a child is in danger, until authorities uncover the abuse and intervene. As responsible parents, family members, friends, community members, and concerned citizens, it is our duty to demand full justice for the child that was sexually assaulted, and to do everything we can to protect other children from being sexually abused. The RCSD needs to adopt a new policy that all of its employees are required to cooperate with any investigation involving the abuse of a student. It is imperative that we act now to uncover the names of RCSD employees who wrote letters of support for Matthew Lomaglio (after he had been convicted). We need to unearth the insidious reasons adults felt compelled to write letters in support of Lomaglio, in spite of the heinous crime he was convicted of. We have a right to know the character of individuals whom we entrust with the care and education of our children. Please sign this petition in support of demands that: 1) Letters written by RCSD employees on behalf of Matthew Lomaglio be immediately released to the public for review, and 2) The RCSD adopt a new policy that requires all of its employees to cooperate fully with every internal (RCSD) and/or law enforcement investigation involving a report concerning student abuse.722 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Karen Bryant

Why are we paying for weekends in Mar-A-LagoSo far, according to news sources, taxpayers are spending approximately $2million per week for Pres Trump to spend weekends at his country club. If Camp David was good enough for the likes of FDR, it's good enough for him. Let's ask Pres Trump to foot the bill himself if he wants to conduct his weekend business in Florida.442 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Sakai

investigate Dr. Willie Wilson & Gov. John Bolton is Out, Wilbur Ross Should Be the Next to GoThe New York Times reports that U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross threatened to fire top federal officials after the National Weather Service contradicted President Trump’s untrue and preposterous claim that Hurricane Dorian threatened Alabama. Ordering officials to lie or be fired is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. Wilbur Ross must be thrown out of office.301 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Courtney Fuller
