We call on Mayors, City Council Members, and County Supervisors across the U.S. to take immediate action and unmask the threats that Project 2025 will pose to local communities and local government services. We urge our local city and county officials to take the following immediate steps to protect our communities from Project 2025: 1. Establish city and county Project 2025 Emergency Task Forces. 2. Hold public hearings. 3. Document the impacts that Project 2025 would have on local services and local communities. 4. Issue public reports on the dangers posed by Project 2025. 5. Pass public resolutions against Project 2025. 6. Share all information with local communities and media institutions. Project 2025 is a profound threat to communities across the U.S.  That's why our city and county leaders must take action now.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Chicago's Ward 33 Democrats (and others) will hold a candidate forum at Horner Park, 2741 W. Montrose. Almost all candidates for Mayor of Chicago in 2019 have committed to attending. Mayor Rahm Emanuel should make himself available to the people of Chicago.

College students under the age of 25 who come from low-income backgrounds and have parents that are unwilling to supply tax information to their FAFSA are being left out in the dark, unable to attend unless their parents change their minds. The only recourse for them is to file as a person who is homeless or at risk of being homeless, but there are many of them that support themselves but don't fit either criteria, so they're unable to get an education. I implore congress to change the criteria in favor of the student, as they're the one who shoulders the debt of attending college, and many low income students come from broken homes. Any adult male over the age of 21 can serve in the military, drink, get married, have a full time job, and own property; but they cannot choose to file by themselves on the FAFSA.

Stop exploiting loopholes and agree to meet Obamacare standards for covering lifesaving care. Stop the backdoor 25% fee increase to pay for UC financial mismanagement of students' healthcare plan.

Make it a law that the U.S. government fully funds every public school K -12 classroom so that they have less than 25 students. Thank you.

Ventura County Fairgrounds hosts several gun shows each year; another is scheduled for October 24-25, 2015. Along with firearms, massive amounts of ammunition are sold at these shows. Guns and ammunition should not be so easily available.
