  • Retain and Improve Affordable Care Act. Abandon Repeal and Replace
The Affordable Care Act has led to major improvements in the quality of healthcare, insurance coverage for millions of Americans previously without healthcare insurance, a lessening of cost increases, and countless innovations in the delivery and payment for healthcare. In addition, the unforeseen negative consequences of the Affordable Care Act, such as the ability of states to deny expanded Medicaid coverage to citizens, as well as significant omissions from the Act, such as action on pharmaceutical pricing, should be addressed by Congress and the new administration. Join your fellow citizens in demanding that the Affordable Care Act be improved and the repeal and replace strategy be abandoned!

  • Let Tannehill Branch Creek flow again
As we work with the city and ACC to imagine a new future for Airport Boulevard and Highland Mall, I hope we can also be respectful of the past. A creek that once flowed should flow again. Fields where children played should become park space again. While Austin needs more density and mixed-use development, I think we should also set aside a small parcel of land next to Tannehill Branch Creek for a public green space — I propose we call it Orphan Park.

  • Stop House Bill 394
Sign this petition to stop House Bill 394, which reduces unemployment benefits and expands the definition of "just firing." Wealthy State Rep. Barbara Sears yesterday introduced legislation, House Bill 394, that would drastically overhaul Ohio's unemployment compensation (UC) system. The bill would dramatically reduce benefits and create new hurdles to get them in the first place. • Don't shoot the messenger: reinstate the Bernie Sanders campaign access to VAN data
We call on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to stop penalizing the Bernie Sanders campaign for reporting a security breach from the voter data vendor NGP VAN. Just 6 weeks from Iowa, the DNC has barred Sanders access to the voter file, crippling grassroots efforts. The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN Politics, and Buzzfeed have reported that no Clinton data was taken, the Sanders campaign responsibly reported the breach promptly, and that NGP VAN has a history of these internal firewall security failures. Discipline the vender, don't shoot the messenger!

  • Mr. Trump, Release your tax returns!
In a January 2017, ABC News/Washington Post poll, 74% of Americans wanted you, Donald Trump, to release your tax returns, including 49% of your own supporters. You promised to do so as far back as 2014. You put it off repeatedly and then on January 11, 2017, at your first press conference as president-elect, you flat out refused, saying that the American public was not interested in your returns, only the press. The poll shows your position on this issue to be incorrect. Release your taxes, please.

  • Stop US Cellular's Residential Cell Tower Construction
We, the undersigned, understand that construction of a new cell tower has been proposed and is in the planning process for the property of El Buen Samaritano Church, at 915 Magnolia Drive, Waukesha WI. We DO NOT support the construction of the tower. We would ask US Cellular to find an alternate location to place its cell tower or to renegotiate the current lease with Waukesha County instead of building a tower on this site. In addition, we ask the WI Legislation to modify the existing law to return the control of the approval of cell towers into the hands of the local municipalities.

  • Apologies? Get used to Protests!
Donald Trump repeatedly ask for apologies for "harassment". Be it in response to a protest, a complaint, a news story, the list goes on. Demand that Trump apologize directly for the insults to the elected officers, media, groups and individuals he repeatedly maligned throughout the campaign, and learn the distinction between expressive free speech/peaceful protest vs disrespecting hate talk. It is the absence of punishment or suppression for speaking out that still distinguishes our government from those of other repressive regimes. Let us not tolerate any message from Trump or his cohorts that implies even a modicum of suppression.

  • DA Devon Anderson is sending Black folks to jail for being poor
I am writing to ask you to resign from your role as Harris County District Attorney. Along with people across the world, I was appalled to learn that your office had a rape victim suffering from mental trauma and illness detained so that she would testify at trial. The fact this happened under your watch and that you have defended these action has convinced me that you are not fit to hold your current office. You should remove yourself from office. It is time for new leadership that treats people with respect and dignity.

  • Tell the EPA: Ban Monsanto's Roundup Unless and Until It's Proven Safe
I urge you to ban Monsanto's Roundup unless and until it's proven safe. New research links the chemicals in Roundup to serious health risks, including cancer and reproductive problems. What's worse, nearly 300 million pounds of Roundup and other similar herbicides are used on farms in the United States every year. It’s already been found in our waterways, in our food, and in our bodies, posing a danger to our health and our environment. Please take strong action and ban Roundup unless and until independent research can prove that it's safe.

  • Save the Leamington Post Office!
Our goal is to save the Leamington, Utah Post Office from being shut down. We’ve been told the United States Postal Service doesn't want to enter into a new contract which would enable the Leamington Post Office to continue running. The Post Office has been the heart of Leamington since shortly after 1880. If shut down, rural residents would be greatly inconvenienced and possibly forced to drive roughly 20+ miles for mail. We can’t let that happen! Please sign the petition to have your voice heard!
