         My sentence no longer advances the interest of justice. Now in my mid fifties, serving the 28th year of a sentence that is not expected to be over until 2054. I filed my second clemency petition requesting a commutation.      The person that committed that offense that landed me in prison no longer exists.  And in his place is a reformed elderly gentleman. I am thoughtful, considerate, understanding and patient. I have learned through my own lived experiences temper control and how to process my emotions. With this knowledge I have been able to help many of my fellow inmates. I haven't spent one day as a parent to my only daughter, and now I'm a grandparent to a child that very much wants me present in every way that I wasn't for her mother.

  • Require Bridge Point West Windsor LLC to use the most updated Flood Maps to Prevent Flooding
    We ask the DEP to require that the new Inland Flood Protection Rules (IFPR) published on June 7, 2023 apply to this site instead of the 1999 Flood Maps. This site is subject to frequent flooding that has only grown worse in recent years. On July 29, 2022 the West Windsor Planning Board approved a plan from Bridge Point West Windsor LLC (BP) to build a huge warehouse project at Quakerbridge Road and on both sides of Clarksville Road over tremendous public opposition.  The project would include 5.5 million square feet of building footprint coverage, 2,435 car parking spaces, and 1,072 truck-trailer parking spaces.  The construction would disturb over 400 acres of property and cause an increase of over 241 acres of impervious coverage.  Using metrics from the  “Distribution and Goods Moving Guidelines” adopted by the NJ State Planning Commission on September 7, 2022 ,there could be over 8,700 vehicle trips per day at this site. The Flood Hazard Area Individual Permit, one of two permits needed from the DEP by Bridge Point to begin construction, was granted on December 1, 2022.  That permit was challenged in Court by The Watershed Institute and in a decision published on December 27, 2024, the Court vacated the permit and returned BP’s application to the DEP. This was done because of DEP’s failure to require a needed feasibility study.  The Court has given the DEP the option to require that BP submit a new application for a flood hazard area permit or an amplified or clarified version of the existing application.

  • Bring Back Mr. Gioia! Exceptional leader for our graduating class
    Dear Superintendent of SANY Schools, In September 2024, our beloved math and science teacher at SANY Citizenship & Science Academy, Mr. Gioia, was honored with the prestigious Atomic Educator Award for his remarkable influence on student growth. His dedication and teaching excellence have contributed significantly to our chidren's school environment, making learning a joyful and engaging experience for us all. The fifth-grade students are now without a dedicated science and math teacher due to the unfortunate dismissal of Mr. Gioia. His absence has not only caused a void in our classrooms but also in our hearts. He was much more than just a teacher; he was an outstanding leader, a motivator, an inspiration, and a guiding figure. We believe that kids are SANY deserve better and we invite you to review our petition advocating for the reinstatement of Mr. Gioia. With only two weeks before the state regent  exams there is no time to waste!   The loss of Mr. Gioia hampers our graduating class's educational growth. We believe the students of SANY Citizenship & Science Academy deserve better, and it is in their best interest to bring back Mr. Gioia. In the past, his teaching methods have yielded positive results, and his pedagogical skills are highly valued by both students and parents. His departure has caused a setback that we cannot afford, especially in this critical graduation years when academic success will greatly impact our children's future paths. It is our earnest request that you respond to the school community's request for the reinstatement of Mr. Gioia. We are confident that your support will make a difference. The lack of an exceptional science and math educator is already being felt by our students. We parents are very concerned about the academic regression in the progress our scholars have made.   • Install the Jan6 Plaque Now
    Congress ordered the production and display of a plaque to honor the police officers who saved the US Capitol complex on January 6, 2021. The plaque was mandated as part of the sweeping, $1.5 trillion government funding law approved March 10, 2022, by the Senate.   The law required the plaque be produced within a year, leaving March 11, 2023, as the deadline Congress required the "listing the names of all of the officers of the United States Capitol Police, the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, and other Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and protective entities who responded to the violence that occurred at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021." The law requires that the plaque be placed on the west front of the U.S. Capitol complex. This was the side of the Capitol that saw the fiercest, largest and most violent attacks by the rioters, including vicious hand-to-hand combat in a closed tunnel. The plaque's placement deadline has passed, and it's time to show the officers the respect and courtesy this law has enacted.

  • Petition to Revert PTO Policy Changes at Polaris Pharmacy Services
    Under U.S. law, specifically the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), employees have the right to discuss and organize around workplace issues, including policies like PTO. This protection extends even to non-unionized employees. Retaliating against employees for participating in such activities, including signing a petition, is prohibited. We, the employees of Polaris Pharmacy Services, are petitioning to express our collective concerns regarding the recent changes to the PTO policy. While the announcement framed these changes as beneficial, we believe they significantly reduce flexibility and negatively impact work-life balance. Our key concerns include: 1. Reduction in PTO Hours: The new policy reduces our PTO from 23 days to 10, which we view as a significant loss of a valued benefit. 2. Mandatory PTO Usage on Holidays: Requiring PTO for holidays restricts our ability to manage time off based on personal needs and preferences. 3. Unused Sick Days: Employees are encouraged to call in sick unnecessarily, versus the previous PTO system where sick calls were not encouraged. This will lead to staffing challenges.   • BVSD: Mandate a Single Learning Management System for Student Success
    Students in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) are currently forced to navigate multiple learning management systems (LMS) due to a lack of standardization across schools and classrooms. This chaotic system wastes valuable learning time, creates unnecessary stress and confusion, and disproportionately impacts the success of neurodivergent students with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. We demand that the BVSD mandate a single LMS district-wide to streamline the learning process, reduce student anxiety, and promote academic success for all. I've witnessed my son and other students waste countless hours trying to navigate eight classes spread across three or more LMS platforms.
