Sole Proprietors Need COVID Financial Relief too! Petition to give us unemployment benefits.
Many are unaware that if you are a Sole Proprietor, meaning it's just you in your business and you don't have employees and pay payroll taxes that you are NOT eligible for unemployment, Family Medical Leave, or the many programs of relief that are aimed at the small business owner to subsidize Payroll. It is imperative that we get some form of relief too. There are 24 million Sole Proprietors that work and support their families with this income. These include your local hair dresser, massage therapist, DJ's, sports & event photographers, daycare provider, and many more. Most have lost ALL of their income due to this national disaster COVID 19. Please join me in having a united voice that we include them in the unemployment system during this most difficult time for all of us.
Why is this important?
During this time, we need to help every worker in this country who are now left with no resources to pay their bills and keep the economy stimulated. Not just big, medium, small business.. but also the Sole Proprietors.
