I have started this petition in order to strike awareness about a very serious thing into the community and to help good parents who love their children make sure that one mistake doesn't mean their child is taken by the state and then slandered by these stereotyping, judgmental "social workers" who are supposed to help kids but instead they are ripping them away from their parents and possibly putting them in bad situations, bad situations that very well hidden by threats from the caretaker or simple brainwashing. These children suffer the consequences the majority of the time throughout their whole life. They are likely to be anxious period of searching and emotional breakdowns over being apart from their parents followed by a period of declined responses. I am not saying every social worker is not in it for the right reasons or that every caretaker is manipulative and mentally unstable. But there shouldn't be not even one in a position where a child's well being is in their hands.
If they are taken at a young age, later in school they are more likely to have problems learning and also tend to act out, need more medical and mental health services than a child who didn't have the trauma of separation from their mother/ father, separation from the person/ people who have raised them since birth. They are also known to have more health problems as well.
This is all proven by a study done by a group of psychiatrists. Trauma of such nature as separation from their parents is a huge risk factor for a child to develope a substance abuse disorder, and as a recovering addict myself that is one of my worst fears for my daughter.
Children have been taken because of a call made on a parent or a failed drug test or an isolated situation that happened once where the child was always being cared for, if not by the parent but by a friend or family member. Although they were not in harm's way CPS may still try to swoop in and take over your life as well as take your child and place them somewhere they hate or feel unsafe and you may think you can't do anything but you are mistaken if you think we as a community can conquer this travesty.
This happened to me after an isolated situation where I overdosed. Unknowing that I was taking fentanyl, I woke up at the hospital confused and terrified, the very next day they came and took my daughter when she never went even a second without care. They didn't even look to see if I had food in my house or to look at her beautiful princess room, she was described in the court hearing as happy and bubbly just sitting and watching TV on my bed. So why did they forcefully take her? Because there was a plan already set in place and they wanted their money. At my adjudiciary hearing my case was dismissed and I was the happiest, most grateful mom alive I believe....until my court appointed attorney lied to me and told me she wasn't to come home until the 10 days was up that someone could object. Little did I know he was never on my side, he was against me, lying to me, trying and winning at conning me.
It's been 7 months and my daughter is still not home because of CPS dragging their feet as well as a whole entire case built on lies made up by some very miserable individuals. The caseworker has botched every drug test I ever took, my medication that I've been on for over 3 years didn't show up and they test for it, I caught her in her lies, I've asked for lab results that she cannot produce, she has taken away every bit of contact with my daughter away, no phone calls, nothing besides 2 one hour supervised visits at the. center. She even admitted to trying to not let me have my daughter back like I'm supposed to.
All in all this petition is to fight these corrupt individuals and to make them known to the public for what they truly are and not their very fake facade. I didn't know any better until having to deal with them myself.
They need repercussions for what they are doing and that should be the loss of their job and prosecution for hurting children that otherwise wouldn't have had to go through such unnecessary trauma and for not helping but only hurting good, strong, bonded families.
Help instead of destroy, this should not even be a topic that is questionable, they are called children protective services but in alot of cases they are children anti- protective services.
Please, if you love your kids, or nieces or nephews or whatever child is important in your life, you will be more than apt to sign this petition so we can try to solve this problem and get these sick people out of power abusing positions and away from making decisions for us and our children or our families children/ friends children. It could happen to anyone, I never thought it would happen to me. My daughter never suffered one second without love and care and more than what she needed, her needs and wants came before anything. I messed up and now am fighting tooth and nail to make sure this injustice is stopped
SAY NO TO LEGALLY SELLING OUR WELL CARED FOR CHILDREN. WE ARE THEIR PARENTS AND WE HAVE RIGHTS! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO LIE AND FALSIFY THINGS TO SUIT THEIR SICK MOTIVES. HEARSAY SHOULD NEVER BE TREATED AS FACTS.
SAVE OUR CHILDREN FROM THE WOLVES IN SHEEP'S FUR. IF WE DON'T NO ONE WILL. STAND UP FOR OUR KIDS AND OUR RIGHTS, PUT AN END TO THE INJUSTICE.
