To: Attention Google executives
Stop Google from removing legitimate Google reviews
We have started a petition because local small businesses keep having legitimate positive reviews removed from their Google profiles. We work very hard to service our customers to gain their positive reviews and having them removed from our profiles has a direct impact on the business because many customers use search engines like Google to see what feedback the public is receiving.
I have started this petition because this is the third if not, fourth time that this has happened to me and the last time I tried to bring it to Google’s attention I was told that it’s an automated feature. My rep explained that once it’s removed, nothing can be done about it, even though I have pictures and videos of the projects.
There now appears to be an issue where if you manually count the reviews I currently have 89 (should be well over 100) but it is showing a count of 75. I know multiple small business owners having the same issue. This new issue started on the Feb 9th, the day of this petition. 02/11 Update- now dropped to 70 reviews!! That's 19 5 star reviews lost in a couple of days....
There is something wrong with the algorithm actually deleting positive reviews and now reporting the wrong number. Again, I personally know multiple small business owners that are being affected by this issue.
The hopes of this petition is to help raise awareness by gathering signatures from local small business owners so that this issue can be prioritized and resolved by Google.
Please help us raise awareness and collect as many signature as possible so that we can gain the attention of the Google Executives and have them prioritize this issue that is hurting small businesses.
