Why is this important?
Trump’s reckless plans to restart U.S. nuclear weapons testing could shatter a three-decade-long moratorium. It’s already kick-started a new phase of a deadly nuclear arms race as Russian President Vladimir Putin responds with threats to restart their testing programs.
Don’t forget: A successful nuclear test means building a weapon capable of global ‘annihilation.’
The good news is that without funding, Trump’s testing plans can’t happen — meaning Congress has the power to stop this before the countdown begins. That’s where we come in.
