Every member of Congress must call on Donald Trump and DHS Secretary John Kelly to rescind their racist executive orders targeting Muslims and immigrants. These orders are unconstitutional, fundamentally un-American, and morally reprehensible.
Why is this important?
Donald Trump's recent immigration executive orders unleashed the worst political humanitarian crisis in recent US history. He has directed his deportation force to separate immigrant families, barred refugees from fleeing life-threatening conditions, and banned legal permanent residents -- and even United States citizens with dual citizenship -- from entering the country because of their nations of origin.
His orders are blatantly racist, Islamaphobic, and anti-immigrant. They are ill-conceived and morally reprehensible.
But if enough members of Congress call on Donald Trump and DHS Secretary John Kelly to rescind their racist executive orders, the White House will have no choice to pull these orders.
Members of Congress have a responsibility to intervene and stand up for ALL of their constituents. Please join us in demanding action to this nightmare.
