Tell Meta: Don't use AI to fire workers with disabilities or medical conditions!

A groundbreaking lawsuit accuses Meta of using AI tech to target people for layoffs who have disabilities, medical conditions, or took medical and family leave.

The lawsuit alleges that amidst thousands of layoffs, Meta violated federal and state laws that protect employees who are pregnant, disabled, or on qualified leave. That would mean Meta used AI for workplace discrimination.

“Meta is taking away the entire purpose of a protected leave — to heal, to care for family, and to have protected time away from work to do so,” the lawsuit said. Meta, and all corporations, need to stop using AI tech to exploit workers.

Why is this important?

Corporate executives have been using artificial intelligence to exploit, fire, abuse, and burn out workers.

Meta made news already this year for using AI to track employees' keystrokes and computer activity. It sparked backlash and led 1,600 Meta workers to organize around privacy and consent in the workplace. Meta then announced it was pausing the program.

From corporation to corporation, executives have laid off tens of thousands of workers, saying that AI will replace them. Bosses have forced employees to use AI, causing an outpouring of subpar work called "workslop" that is causing burn out, also known as "AI brain fry."

Workers must band together to stop this corporate AI takeover in the workplace. We must also vigorously defend our rights as workers from AI-powered discrimination and abuse.

Sign this petition and call on Mark Zuckerberg to put an end to any and all workplace discrimination with AI tech!
