Want Control Over your PTO hours?

I am writing to you today to propose the implementation of a program that would allow employees to donate their paid time off (PTO) to one another during times of need.

Recently, I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and in navigating this difficult time, I have been overwhelmed by the support and kindness of my colleagues. Some of them have expressed a desire to donate their PTO hours to me, allowing me the time I need to focus on my health and recovery. Unfortunately, due to current policies, this compassionate gesture has been denied.

In times of hardship, we all rely on the support of those around us. It is in these moments that we realize the true value of a supportive community. By implementing a PTO donation program, we would be providing employees with a meaningful way to support their colleagues during challenging times.

I firmly believe that such a program would not only benefit those in need but also foster a stronger sense of camaraderie and empathy within our workplace. It is a tangible way for us to demonstrate that we are all in this together and that we are committed to supporting one another through both the good times and the bad.

I urge you to consider this proposal seriously and to explore the possibility of implementing a PTO donation program within our organization. Together, we can create a workplace culture that prioritizes compassion, support, and solidarity.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Why is this important?

As many of you are aware, our company has made the decision to discontinue the Paid Time Off (PTO) donation program, a move that has left many of us concerned about the well-being of our colleagues during times of need.

I believe strongly in the importance of supporting each other, especially in times of difficulty. The PTO donation program was a tangible way for us to demonstrate our solidarity and compassion for our fellow employees facing unexpected challenges.

While the decision to end the program may have been made with good intentions, I believe that together, we can advocate for its reinstatement. Our voices matter, and by joining together to express our support for bringing back this invaluable program, we can make a difference in the lives of our coworkers.

I invite each and every one of you to join me in signing a petition urging our leadership to reconsider their decision and reinstate the PTO donation program. By showing our unity and determination, we can work towards creating a more supportive and inclusive workplace for all.

Please take a moment to sign the petition and spread the word among your colleagues. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for your support,
Montrell

How it will be delivered

I plan on setting up a meeting with leadership and handing the signed petition.

We need more support and clout. The nursing force is one of the country's top employment forces. Our compassion for one another is unparallel. Please join in on this movement.
