Abolish the filibuster and protect abortion rights for all!
The filibuster is undemocratic, racist and holding us back from progress. If we’re ever going to make the Senate effective and impactful to protect abortion rights, we need to abolish the filibuster first. Republicans have abused the filibuster repeatedly: from blocking the independent bipartisan investigation into the January 6 Insurrection and later on, blocking the best chance we had to pass the For the People Act before the 2022 mid-terms.
Why is this important?
We don’t have time to wait: abortion rights are under attack like never before, both federally and nationally. While Dems are in power, our elected officials in the Senate must swiftly abolish the filibuster—it’s an outdated parliamentary maneuver that Speaker Mitch McConnell and others have continued to abuse to halt any national progress in Congress.
